Just as an aside to why people don't like your kind of rhetoric - you claim to be "fighting for peoples rights" (although it always seems to be the rights of odd minority groups), and yet while Donald has apprently "offended" people like you with his WORDS, my daughter just got home from school and everyone is WISHING that Donald gets assassinated before he's sworn in.

Are you insane? You think that sotomayor or Kagan would have been appointed under a republican, even a stooge of the establishment? If you think that you're insane, if you think the two or three justices that Trump will appoint will be just like if Hillary was in office, you are insane.

Appointing justices was the single most important piece of this election cycle. A progressive court like would've happened under hillary would have ultimately led to civil war. period.

This gives us a refrain. This is what I refer to as the rubber band effect. When you go in one direction for too long and to too much of an extreme, you will get the opposite.

We are lucky that this isn't entirely the opposite extreme. I think Trump will be the moderate, constitutional president that we've been needing. He will upset the establishment on both sides and return us to what made the US of A great. If he survives long enough... That's the biggest question, the last president who tried to do what Trump will try was shot three times.

Again, that's only with the cheating that happened, please don't even try to say that they didn't manipulate the vote. The truly astounding part of Trump winning is what he had to overcome to still win. He eked out a win officially, but my guess is that it was actually a blowout.

I mean the polls were off by what close to 15 points in Ohio? Come on, you have to say that it was ridiculous how off most polls were.

I'll answer your power vacuum question...

It gives much less of a power vacuum because the US can flex its' muscle without being hampered by the UN. The UN is a corrupt inept organization that no longer serves its' purposes.

The UN only had power so long as it had the might of the US to back it up. The US military literally is more powerful than the next two or three nations combined.

One carrier group is more powerful than most nations. If we were to pull out of the UN, it will give any country looking to go against US interests pause because we won't be limited by the UN.

The UN is better for other countries interests more so than US interests.

That being said, my guess is that President elect Trump knows that just the threat of leaving the UN might be enough to get most of the member nations in line. His intention is more than likely just that, rather than actually leaving the UN altogether. My second guess though is that he is perfectly willing to ACTUALLY leave if they fail to start doing what they were supposed to do.

OF course companies will move back to the US. If the alternative is paying a 50% import tariff on goods they manufacture overseas. This is precisely what we should have done in the past and what crony capitalism has prevented. This is what congress is constitutionally mandated to do, yet have failed to because it was against their personal interests.

Actually getting it done requires a will of the people that they just showed and republican houses and president.

They now have all of the above for the first time since 1928 so we'll see if and what gets done. My guess is that republicans in congress are #ting their pants right now and with good reason. They now have no excuse. They control both houses and the presidency... That's when obama care got passed when the dems had both houses and the presidency, so it's about time that the repubs got some # done.

If that's your point, I would argue what I heard on NBC last night (and with which I agree): The pollsters and the "experts" just didn't know how to call and deal with this election, as a candidate like Trump has not been seen in a very long time.

So, is that your point, or are you trying to claim that the Republicans manipulated the vote and that's why he won?

Either way, vote-manipulation claims need to come with some sort of evidence, otherwise it's just speculation.
