I went to the polls at 7:00, we did not have early voting in Michigan, and so this was the first that I had the opportunity to vote. The line was long, but I got out of there by 8:00, so considering the length of the line, it did seem to go pretty fast. They did seem to do everything on the up and up. They checked for everyone’s ID, and they only had paper ballots available, no machines. So I hope everything goes smoothly, and honestly…

Civic duty accomplished!

I have thought about it for months. It was not a snap decision. My choices were narrowed down. I just was not 100% sure which way I'd go. I made the best choice I could.

Got to the school at 8 am local. Was about 8 people in front of us. Easy peasy. Did our part, now to bed!

I'm with Her. I am voting for her because she is clearly the most qualified. I haven't even considered the 'female' part of it, but I think it will hit me at the polls. It's like icing on the cake, and I probably won't allow myself to wallow in that delight until it's over. Our lines are massive. Hours. But I'm going.

I didn't ever in all this time since February tell anyone on this site who they should vote for.
That isn't anyone's business but there own.

I was just having fun with your choice of words, but I know exactly how you feel. I don't think I'll be able to decide ten years from now, let alone today.

You and I have different ideas what qualified means.

Guess that's what makes America great..

Obviously my first consideration was qualifications and experience. That's important.
That those qualities are held by a woman is just a great big bonus for women everywhere.
I've already teared up a few times but I'm nearly sixty and I'm one of the original women's libbers opening a business in the eighties when women couldn't easily get business loans.
My father who believed in my ability cosigned the loan for me. It was a battle sometimes. When I was young many women didn't even have jobs and those in business were looked at strangely. I did chose a girly business(interior decorating, then interior design , then I opened a retail store to sell accessories and small furnishings and exotic rugs from the middle east. )so they didn't treat me like a man. Anyway I digress.

It's long over due.

My son just asked me if Lizard Woman or King Jerk was going to win today.

Thank you 2016 elections!

It's not as if we haven't thought about it all day, every day. Let it be a salve that it's at least not our own ignorance to blame.

I voted for a stoner incapable of performing the duties of office because he was not Donald Trump. Pretty sure everyone else in my precinct voted for Clinton or Stein.

I understand what you are thinking, and the only possible value in this election is its potential historic value. If Hillary is the voted President, she will go down in history as the first female President. She will also have the notoriety of being the first President to follow the first Black President, and may even have the label of being a bigger destroyer of America then her famous predecessor.

Looks like first doesn't always mean best.
