Authorities say a navy blue Tesla, headed north on Illinois Street, left the road, hit a tree and a building and caught fire.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the driver as Casey Speckman, 27. The passenger, who later died at the hospital, was identified as Kevin McCarthy, 44.

McCarthy was the president and CEO of 'Case Pacer' and Speckman worked in case management software sales at the company.

McCarthy graduated as Valedictorian from the FBI Academy and was the youngest FBI agent in the country at the time. He also served on several local boards.

I don't live in the USA and although we all have internet, how can one tell if a newspaper is real or not?

Plus I don't post to get S&F. I don't care about those, what I care about is people knowing the truth, or at least being able to make thier own mind up about what is the truth.

Neighbors saw smoke coming from the Brown residence and called 9-1-1 at approximately 11:50 p.m. By the time fire crews arrived on scene minutes later, the entire house was engulfed in flames.

“Mrs. Brown’s death was caused by a gunshot wound prior to the house fire,” Walkerville Police Chief Pat Frederick said, “while Mr. Brown’s single-bullet head wound appears to have been self-inflicted.”

“The totality of the evidence leads us to believe this is a murder-suicide. We believe he killed her, set the house on fire and then took his own life,” Frederick said.

2 people dead from gun shots, crime scene struck by fire. Neighbours saw smoke, just before midnight, but no mention of hearing either of the 2 gun shots. One of the deceased dropped his dog at a neighbours house (not sure if same neighbour who saw smoke) sometime prior to neighbours seeing smoke.

The gaps are filled by what the authorities believe occurred, based upon all the available evidence gathered by investigators.

This apparently occurred late Friday night, less than 36 hours ago, forensics can't be done yet and autopsies would most certainly need to be carried out. It's hard getting any other info on this scenario that has transpired.

Agreed, the lack of any other source corroborating this story leads me to believe it did not take place as suggested.
