I hate to break it to you guys, but this is what happens when the country nominates two septuagenarians who should be checking into the old folks home instead of running the most powerful country on earth.

She never said "on that day" she was there the very next day. She worked very hard for the health issues suffered by first responders during the weeks that followed.

I'm no Clinton fan but she was there on 9/11. I remember her saying how worried she was about Chelsea. She may not have been there when the buildings came down but she was later that day.



Edit: Ok Madella effect memory. I thought i saw her in the footage that day and she was asked if Chelsea was ok because Chelsea was in the city. I believe i am remembering wrong. This clip is the next day, I believe....

This clip was posted 1 month ago and the reporter says this is her on the day of the disaster. So it looks like cnn was either wrong or purposely posted this to look like she was there that day. My apologies!

When was she a senator? She served as senator of NY from 1/3/2001 till 1/21/09, so which 9/11was she talking about. She specifically states AS ONE OF THE TWO SENATORS. So, she is referring to the time when she was senator.

ETA During her tenure as senator, what 9/11 date is the most significant? 9/11/01 is the most significant date during that 8 year period.

And she went to washington to FIGHT for help after the attack.

Like being a NY state senator at the time would need to fight for help.
