it would seem the only real voting fraud is the voter suppression methods being employed by the GOP. people with common names are being misidentified as voting in multiple states, when in fact, they are different people with the same name. It should be noted that people with common names tend to more often be minority groups i.e. lee, garcia, washington. These people are carelessly being thrown off the voter rolls.

I think every case of any voter fraud needs to be tracked down and imprisoned for years. Trying to corrupt the government makes them a enemy of the state and needs to be treated as such, regardless of what party is to blame.

This also includes pollsters throwing away votes, stuffing ballot boxes, etc.

fingerprint/eye scan voting done 100% by machines checked by bipartisan officials is what needs to happen. 1 citizen, 1 vote.

That sounds like election fraud to me. You know, making ppl pay for an ID to vote.

So, if ID cards were given out free of charge you wouldn't have a problem with requiring an ID to vote?

Important distinction.

The gubment is defrauding the people not the other way round.

But they're not ever going to be free if the GOP gets it way because that would hurt their agenda. We already have ID's, we don't need another one just to vote because the GOP wants us to.

Why not do what they did in Iraq? It would stop anyone from voting more than once. They dipped the finger in a marking fluid (blue in Iraq?). At least there would be no issues about having to get an ID.

But, my problem is this. You need an ID to go to the doctor, pharmacy, get government benefits, buy alcohol, etc. As a matter of fact you are supposed to have an ID by law if the police stop you. So, I am not sold for a minute on why people can't get an ID because it is too difficult for whatever reason. The states have even said they could use a variety of ID's and would issue one for free. The only reason voting is the only thing the demonrats fight tooth and nail for is painfully obvious.

The ink is not a bad idea, ids are not a bad idea either. But neither of those solve the problem of voter supression where voters get tossed because of having an ethnic name, which was the premise of this thread. Dems should be fighting for the vote since if every person voted, they would win way more often then they do. Why is it blacks are 9 times more likely to lose their vote, and native americans 15 times more like to lose theirs compared to whites. As a supporter of GOP, do you find that ok since it helps the GOP win elections?

You know, by now I think it's pretty obvious both sides think attacking each other is more important than issues. It's like everyone reverts to their childhood and calling people names on the playground.

Truth is, I have little doubt that both sides cheat whenever they think they can get away with it.

We as a society don't tolerate cheating in sports, but cheating in politics is just fine? I'd bet for every case of possible election fraud on one side, you can find a matching case on the other. Nobody seems to be addressing the real problem which is the level of dishonesty both the Democrats and Republicans are able to justify in their minds.

The Rolling Stone is about as biased towards one side as any publication can get, so of course they fail to mention that cheating is also going on with Democrats and try and make it look like the dishonesty is all on one side. They do a serious disservice to their audience by omitting the truth about both sides, making them as dishonest as those they attack.

We are in the Twilight Zone here where we are being manipulated by two very corrupt political parties and given no other choice but to pick the lesser of two evils. So sad really.

If both sides took the masks off, they would look the same. That is the reality of this all. No matter which side wins, we loose.

ok sure yes both sides will cheat if they get the chance especially if they no the other side is cheating and if they know they can get away with it. Rolling stone may be biased but that doesn't change the fact that voter suppression is coming from the GOP side of things. I do not think there is much suppression coming from the left. If so, then I am sure there would be some evidence. great pic though, is that real or from a movie?

Every time I see your name as the most recent poster, I think "welp, that threads closed for a few!"

You hit the nail on the head here. We as Americans let this corruption stand and self justify the reasoning they've placed upon themselves. It's sickening. We are better than this and we need to make these parties accountable. If nothing else, throwing them both to the curb. I don't see a reason why it needs to be a dem v rep election over and over etc.

Insanity.

That's from a Twilight Zone episode that came to mind while posting.

Both Parties are corrupt and of that I have no doubt. We should honestly be inflamed about that, rather than letting them manipulate us through partisan MSM garbage.

Both sides are masters at propaganda and we should not be loyal to any MSM source helping either Party. It makes us all the sheep they know for a fact we voters are.

I have zero doubt that the GOP is not above cheating and I have no doubt the Democrats are doing the same. What good does it do to point out one and not the other, beyond becoming a part of the problem by falling for it?

Keep us at each others throats with the willing participation of the media and they know they have us fully under control. Then they pat each other on the back and are best buddies the day after the election. If that were not true, people would be going to jail and they are not. We are being played like fools and it's our fault if we let it continue.

We have two candidates that matter, neither of which should hold any office. The promises are the same, but no matter who wins, nothing will change and of that I'm sure.

Toto needs to pull the curtain back on both sides, which is what any honest media worthy of anyone's time would do.

I agree that everyone should get their vote, simple, period, end of story. Sorry if I strayed off the premise of your thread. One of the problems is the percentage of voters that actually vote is ridiculously low. If a person doesn't vote, then they have no right to whine and cry about whoever is elected. Also, the democratic party is not the democratic party of the past. They are way more bent toward socialism. lol, so you are now a psychic too? I don't support either party.
