Thats just it though, it could take MONTHS. So what happens in the mean time? Does this "message" in itself change the current political landscape? I have always felt that Clinton abused her position as SS, in conjunction with the Clinton Foundation.
Perhaps this is old school politics finally seeing its final days.

It might have been her refusal to cooperate with the investigation of the Iran deal that finally pushed Comey over the edge to bypass her. He must have known she was corrupt previously, if only for the secret meeting with Bill, if not for other things we don't know about. But this week she showed that she is deeply involved in their illegal dealings and willing to violate law to cover for them, including with the Iran deal.

Yes, and frankly the entire thing is seriously frightening. Clinton's
obviously have acted in self interest with The Clinton Foundation,
many times putting their own financial gains ahead of the
best interests of The United States. Now we find her top
Aide Huma is acting with impunity, hoarding emails
that belonged to The State.
This all smacks of espionage, and is no longer just
a conspiracy theory, this got real but it is just 10
days to an election.

The FBI knew in July 2016 that Huma was hoarding Hillary's emails?

But nothing was done about it until now.... after they were discovered accidentally by a second unrelated investigation?

Hmmm, interesting perspective. Signs of a good man? In a Functionist view of stratification, his position requires a nuetral unbiased man, necessary to make good judgement calls for the system to operate as a whole.

Comey's action, in a way, reminds me of the movie The Dead Zone.

He knows something that most people don't know. Something so seriously terrifying that could affect the country and the world. He knows that someone is a danger to us all. He has inside information that most others don't have. Everyone else sees the person as a hero and a good guy, but Johnny Smith knows the truth about him and what will happen if he becomes president.

Maybe he is the only one who can stop it.

Remember at the end of the movie, Johnny finally, almost accidentally, set in motion a chain of events that stopped the dangerous person from being elected president? He exposed him for who he truly was, and ended the danger.

Maybe.... maybe we should thank Comey?

He has something, and it must be big. If it was nothing then he wouldn't have moved an inch on it. He has to come out now because if she's elected POTUS he has to cover his ass if she gets impeached afterwards. If it didn't come out until after the vote he would be accused of aiding her in the election.

If I was in Clinton's camp I would be really sweating right now.

Accidentally....or maybe weiner turned them over to save himself. Interestingly, the second weiner sexting scandal broke after Comey's initial decision. And he had been pretty much out of the headlines for a while.

Could they have set him up hoping for this treasure trove? A lot of FBI guys were not happy about the way this played out.
