I saw Ministry at one of the first Lollapaloozas. What a great show. Its true, that was called Industrial first.

Yeah I don't know what happened.. music and culture has stagnated. Maybe it has to do with economics - everybody's working too hard to pay the rent. I think 9/11 and other psyops has a lot to do with it too.

I wish. Those pics look like the early 2000s, i was mainly joining them in the late 90s when it was not usual to have a good quality camera available all the time and i would probably lost it there in then.

I think the video has been dubbed an the music isnt in sync with the people dancing, That why it looks so erratic...

Used to go to a lot of jungle/DnB raves back in the day: AWOL, Metalheadz, One Nation, Jungle Fever etc. MC'd on a couple of sets for Dream FM and Kool FM too.. Good times!

First raves were the Manchester scene. Happy Mondays and so on. The USA rave scene was always a bit more harsh since it was centered on Wax Trax out of Chicago. Bunch of freaks really. Anyway, that sort of ping ponged back the the UK in no time flat and killed the hippy rave. Sort of sad in a way, always seemed to me that most electronica was sort of clinical and didn't match the feel of "good time dancing". Regardless, I myself was a young man in those times and cherish many good memories. As such, Happy Mondays - Kinky Afro:

I really think this was the real picture of what rave was - as far as a video can do it justice.
