That and

1) We don't need to continue to be so dependent on fossil fuels.

2) It costs us more in tax dollars to clean up spills and these pipelines don't have a great track record.

I wish people would stop being so fking stupid about wind and solar.

Free Energy in General, if people seriously think we can't achieve Free Energy Now, you are in denial.

This is a serious situation, not only are we dealing with breaking treaties and illegal Land Takeovers, also destroying sacred Land and raping more of Nature and Environment.

That is why you shouldn't go to a peaceful protest unarmed. You know the police will be armed, you should be armed too.

Wouldn't doubt it if that's what starts happening soon if events keep going down like this.

Yes but is the order to remove them legal?

It seems the company has been less than transparent with the plans that were given to US army in the first place. Second, it seems the pipeline will go over water that is protected by the tribes, and apparently even some other officials have concerns about contamination of the water. So where or how the literally, army of PC plods came into it now must be some other function of law...(like the ejits division) you can read about it here,

It's called snap my finger snap your neck.

The big corp snaps it's finger, police snap the Tribe's/protestor's neck. Rinse and repeat

So law enforcement cleared camps set up specifically to block construction and left the camp that was set up in a lawful area alone. Imagine that.

When a cop shows up to remove you from an area, you're going to be removed. Use all the rhetoric and buzzwords you want, but resisting the removal will be met with an increased level of force until the resistance is overcome and the removal effected.

Ugh....your post gives me chills.....does it even matter at all to these cops that the construction itself may not be legal ? Until this matter has been settled all construction should be halted ! It makes me furious there has been such a media block on this and my heart goes out to all the brave souls willing to stand against this injustice.

The Second Amendment is useless if you leave it sitting on a shelf at home.

Taking it with you is your right. In fact, the Second is supposed to be used this way.

If the Police go in and kill, then the Police will feel the weight and full measure of the Second in all its might.

500 years and nothing has changed
Also, what are all of these out of state agencies doing over there? The governor is in bed with DAPL as are the other governors in the area. They have been wanting to get rid of The Sioux and the other tribes and their supporters since Little Big Horn.

More testimony of the atrocities. Including the killing of an unarmed 11 year old girl by sniper fire.

You know why nobody's willing to touch this one? Corrupt politics aside?

Because it's something society does not want to face more than anything else. It would shove Black Lives Matter into the damn shadows, and show a REAL consistently oppressed & marginalized group, in real-time, show the tangible injustice and tangible seizures & use of rightful property. Real stuff of a discernible, long-term magnitude that has been shoved deep under the rug since before slaves. It's not a half-wit SJWs racial pseudo-crusade on Twitter, it's actual heavy stuff impacting the remnants of legit here-before-us cultures we still utterly screw over today. And no one wants to touch it.

What pansies.

Yes, and if my house laid in the way of that pipe, I would be screwed too. I know progress needs to be made, but when private property rights are taken some serious $$$ needs to be exchanged.

Hillary won't say anything because she is bought by the Corporations that benefit from the Pipeline, Hillary who backs Fracking, and Pipelines and the Rape and Destruction of Nature and Indigenous people and Earth.

same could be said about Trump.
