ATS is getting boring for this term

I have been following ats since 8 years and a member lately. The last political stuff is really ruining this forum. This is the third thread other than the other two I have seen on the main page about this. I mean, administrators should find a new algorhytm for the political stuff to fall into the appropirate forum channel before we see them on the main page. It has been four months, FOUR MONTHS since the main page is clogged with these topics. Okay you can discuss politics but this site is not for POLITICS mainly! Cmon people! We should do something about this. If I wanna see stuff about politics which is every time every where on the news and papers, I would choose them.

ATS, do something. This thing will go 2 months more or 3 I know. Four months is enough for me. I am digging the forum just to come across something about extraterrestrials or other conspiracy stuff. I don't want political conspiracy as this is not separatable from "politics". Politics equals conspiracy nowadays everybody knows that. But this thing is getting really, really boring.

I did a rant about this fiasco a while ago called : Please give us other international members a break from US politics..

The worst thing about it is that even when a member creates an interesting thread on a topic that has nothing to relate to the election period, certain people THAT WE HAVE ALL COME TO KNOW will come along and pop in a little comment or even a post about "she/he-who-must-not-be-named" on this thread.

Just wait and see who is the first to comment with those two peoples names here...

So much this! I used to visit this page several times a day, now it's like once in the morning and maybe a quick glance in the evening. I already know a majority of the threads will be TRUMP BAD or HILLARY BAD. I already know who I'm voting for.

I'm especially disappointed in the lack of supernatural threads being that we are a few days away from Halloween. I might start my own but I have a feeling it will be most likely ignored for the latest Trump accusation or Hillary email. Can't wait for election to be over.

Well guess what! I'm pretty darn weary of the he-said-she-said-red-team-blue-team-rah-rah-rah as well.... so I move on. I don't whine and cry and expect anyone -- much less the PTB of ATS! -- to cater to my whims and wants. Given the amount of traffic those threads receive, obviously others are quite interested and engaged, and more power to them. I can at least respect those people for giving a damn -- whether left, right or outer space -- and willingly engaging in dialogue and debate about important (and not-so-important) issues that affect every one of us.

As opposed, of course, to someone who just wants everyone else to shut up -- on a freaking discussion forum!!!

I'd tell you to be the change that you want to see and show us all how it's done, but I'm pretty sure if you could have you would have.... maybe you'll prove me wrong. I actually hope you do. And if so, feel free to rub my nose in it... metaphorically speaking of course.

I've been reading ATS for years and find US politics hilarious. Don't like it don't read it, or buy server space and start your own forum of course?
Who knows, your new discussion forum could end up more popular than ATS?
