I was surprised to find out that my city does have 2 vet clinics that deal with exotics. This is important because when it comes to vaccination time, Servals need a to be vaccinated with what is called a Killed Virus.
When they are cubs, they get a mothers milk replacement. Then will be introduced to raw, lean ground chicken or turkey mixed with baby food.
When they are matured, they will eat raw meat like chicken/ turkey, bones and all.
Depending on their size when fully grown they can eat anywhere from 1-3 pounds of meat a day.

Edit to add:
She will let me know when the next litter will be. But said before the spring next year.
Im not sure if im going to wait that long, or find another breeder to get one now.

Hello Mac, and everyone else!
Good things come to those Who wait, as I have been told such. Ya might want to keep the breeder You have now. They seem decent and above board... Just My thoughts on this...

I Hope You and everyone else are Well. All fine here in Syx's Realm... Just kickin back...

And you know, I was thinking the same thing as well.
I just get impatient at times lol.

But you are right. This breeder did go above and beyond. She showed that she truly does care about her clients and their cubs.
It would be rude of me to just take my business else where, when really, she could have dumped the cub on me.

Ya, your right. I will stick with her.
Thanks!

No prob Mac!
I was thinking You had already made up Your mind to keep that Breeder and just wait for another Cub.
Just thought I'd be another voice In Your head, to help reassure You of that decision!!

I never replied to the people who replied to me before the week-end, but I spent my time with my favorite person, my significant other. We rarely have time due to work schedules and care of elderly parents. So....I am sorry.

We had a lovely time in this fabulous weather, painting windows, stacking wood, raking, coffee brakes, lunch out side, leisure time at the lake with the puppies.

I hope every one is doing well. Hugs in bundles.

Sorry I missed you all earlier! Honeys I'm home!

Mac, good idea sticking with the breeder you already have! I know it's killing you to wait. It would be killing me too, but it's the right thing to do and you know you'll get a great kitten! You'll have many wonderful years together! You know I'll be haunting you all the time when you finally get your cat. I'll be wanting to see videos and pics and hear every detail about it! It is so exciting!!!!!!!

WIS, I am soooo happy to hear you had some quality time with your sweetheart!

Hello Syx and Skiddy!!!!! Going to check out that thread now.

This is a bummer if you wanted that particular cat, but.......... It is of utmost importance that you get the one that is meant for you. The match. The aggressive Serval might bond over time, but why take a chance? What I keep thinking about is how much you are goping to save and that you get pick of the litter!

About the raw chicken: I have an employee that was discussing feeding my dogs raw chicken. I felt it was unsafe due to bones, paracites, and microbes. My dogs are Pittbulls. The male is a Staffordshire terrior, and the female is a blue nose razor edge. So back to the chicken... I decided to try it as I understand that freezing kills parasites. I gave them each large chicken quarters. They crunched down those bones methodically, and devoured the every bit of it within 2 minutes.

What I noticed was this. They became healthier, especially the female. They became more affectionate , and behaved noticibly different. They behaved as if they respected me for bringing them the real meat. So thats what they get every morning, and for dinner they eat sweet potatos, green beans, and carrots. No more dog food
