Managed to survive another Halloween here in the hills of WV. Gave out candy to the wee little ghouls and goblins again this year. Went through two
and a half FULL bags of candy in nearly two hours. Now to sit here at the computer and listen to Ghost to Ghost AM tonight.
Dammit!!!!!! I'm at the top of the page again!!!!!!

Very sorry to hear that. I'd just sent you a PM and then checked in here and found your post that you're not well. Hope it's nothing more than a
bug and you get over it very soon.

I hope you wake up refreshed and feeling better today!!!! [[[HUGS]]] Thinking about you!!!
Good morning my beautiful Shedigans!!!! I hope everyone survived Halloween. If I didn’t think I would have been arrested or at least placed on a
watch list I would have taken pictures of all the adorable kids that came to the house last night. My favorite was a little girl (maybe 4ish) that
was dressed up like Princess Belle. She had a wig on that was as big as she was and the little hoop in her dress made it look like she was rolling
instead of walking. She had a sweetest little voice. I could have stolen her in a heartbeat! LOL
OK I really need to get caught up on work. STILL working on my story…guess I missed Halloween, LOL.
Morning. Good I think , Thank you.
Working today and on my way to walk the monsters. We go to a park where I can let them run lose, but I wait till it is light out because I found bear
scat last week.
No teddy is having my babies for breakfast.
And then there is the legality of it. It is only open from "Dawn till Dusk". Stupid rule in the winter.
Hey Walk,
Things are going pretty damn well on my end. (Thanks to Jess!)
Jess introduced me to her pops a while back. He flew up here a few weeks ago to see me speak at a mining conference. We got along so well, that him
and I will now be working together on some improvements to mining safety.
As for my cat - apparently its a nut case. Well no I shouldnt say that, Savannahs are wild animals to begin with. Sometimes the taming process takes
longer than it does others.
As of right now, my little Elsa is to skiddish to me re-homed. The breeder has been working hard with her, but as it stands will claw and howl if
other people come around her.
She has offered to refund my deposit and have me wait till the next litter, and that she would keep Elsa. Because I should have had her almost 2 weeks
ago now.
But! im not giving up on her yet. In fact I have a Skype call with the breeder and Elsa planned for Thursday evening lol.
I never had a Skype call with a cat before, so this should be interesting. I will get to see her behaviour and how she is when being handled.
So we will see how that goes, I will be sure to take some screen shots!
Good morning all! Hope every had a wonderful Halloween. At least better than mine. Not one Trick or Treat'r. I wasn't expecting many, being out
in the country, but I was hoping for at least the neighbor boys. I was going to load them up! And my plans to scare kids in town didn't work out
either.
Ah well.
Everyone ive heard from has said pretty much the same thing, little to no, trick or treaters showed up last night.
My wife left me a treat to find in my bag.
She always packs my bag for work because I work out of town monday till thursdays.
So when I dug in to grab my lap top last night I found 2 cans of pepsi with a happy halloween note!
We have a couple big subdivisions in town, and they were hit hard I heard. And that a lot of the houses were giving away "good" candy. LOL that's
what the coworkers kids were saying.
ahhh, yes I remember now lol.
I remember keeping track of the houses that gave out cans of pop as well.
Back when I was a kid, getting a can of soda was a big deal!
Hi everybody,
I didn't have any work today... AND the sun came out here in my little patch of Scotland (that's TWICE this year!!! LOL)
So.... I took Tiddles up to one of my favourite walking spots at Kames, near Muirkirk and had myself a picnic!
Not a bad place to have lunch?
It's very remote / wild moorland all around here.
Proof that it's ME enjoying the sunshine! In NOVEMBER??? In SCOTLAND????? ROFL
This is the view from "Tibbie's Brig" - I've posted photos from here before, but it was a particularly nice day and such a nice spot. ("Tibbie" Pagan
was a young poet, writer and... The proprietor of an illegal drinking "howff" (house) situated on this very spot, which none other than Rabbie Burns
used to frequent! She is credited with writing the words for a famous Burns tune "Ca' The Yowes Tae The Knowes" (Call the sheep to the knolls or
hillocks) )
Here are a couple of versions of her song;
And here is "Tibbie's Brig" itself...
And finally a panorama to give you an idea of where the Brig (Bridge) is, in relation to the picnic spot.
What a cracking good day!
I hope our 'Raine is feeling a wee bit better today?
I asked a couple members on here as to where I could find some good imagery from the moon.
Onebigmonkeytoo and Saint Exupery pointed me in the right direction.
I got some moon images and created a 3d out of them:
heres the first step, a point cloud:
Then adding the texture and making it 3D:
If any of you fine Shedites, have a spot in particular on the moon or earth for that matter, let me know and I can make a 3d model of it for you. Then
you can play around with it on your computers.
