It's only 6 and a bit minutes long, with loads of great Scottish scenery to view! (I've been to most of the places he visits in this one!!) and the "out-takes" from 4.30mins are PRICELESS!!

Gordi, your post made me laugh! I'm glad that Chrissie had a great Birthday! It sounded like a lot of fun! Yes, I recognized your avatar from last year, but had to compliment it this year too!

Ksiezyc, I can't wait to hear about the ATS meet up in New York! I want to see pics and hear all the details!

Kaelci, love the pics and your new avatar! Halloween is huge in the U.S! People decorate their homes like you see houses decorated at Christmas, only cute or spooky decorations instead. We have haunted houses set up where people walk through and haunted mazes and parties everywhere where people dress up, kids and adults. Of course we have the tradition of kids going from house to house to collect free candy.

Hooking myself up with some lemon/African honeybush herbal tea now - some of the best tea I've ever had. A little honey will help with the scratchy throat too. Ugh I hate being sick.

A VERY large measure of Whisky, large spoonful of honey, Lemon Juice, and the analgesic of your choice (Beechams Powders here in the UK is good...) topped off with a mugful of boiling water, then get it doon ye while it's hot!

@Nightstar - Wow! I made Chicken soup today too! (From the carcass of our roast from Chrissie's birthday dinner last night!)
It was Awesome!!!! (Chicken, Rice, Sweetcorn, Chicken stock, garlic, parsley and a big grind of pepper!) Oh yeah!
That'll cure your ills!

Neither do I, but hay I "dress up" every day for work in clothes I would not want to be caught dead in. That's a costume.

I only get invited to take advantage of senior discounts for medical procedures.

Well it is Halloween and I will try to relate a Real Life in person story.
It is so many years ago I hope I can do it properly.
A little history.
The grounds were occupied by "Royalty" as early as 1230, but the main castle was not erected until late 1500.
So the history is rather extended and may hold a multitude of explanations for things that can't be "explained"


While I resided there over the years. I, in turn, occupied two rooms. One can be seen on the back side of the building and one angular from it, both on the third floor.
The one on the back had no windows towards the moat. Thus I preferred the side room. And usually reside there.
The "back room" had a peculiar occurrence though, there was a bee's hive in the wall and honey dripped down.

Only one stair case on each side, connected to the two towers. Grand ten centimeter thick oak planks, winding and worn by centuries of wandering.
I all ways felt the presence of some thing but never horror. Until.....
I think it was fall, the seasons didn't really matter in our daily routine. Sleep was essential as we all had to rise for Matins by four. As a postulant I resided apart from the convent. I only relate this to justify why the appearance may have occurred. To frighten me perhaps. ,
It was a lovely room, with lots of light lovely curtains, a ceiling that reached the sky a comfortable room not grand but lovely.
I had been asleep for some time, I think, when a noise from the door woke me, I thought I was in a dream and struggled to wake up.
I did and sat up, starring at the door. I saw it was open, moon lit. But the entrance was utter darkness, darker than the surroundings.
The room grew cold and I fell back on the bed numbed.
Absolute fear gripped me, I could see this "creature" walk towards me, and I was paralyzed. It was large, humanoid, but covered in black "hair".
I could smell it, and as it got closer I felt its heat.
It hovered above me.
The sensation was absolute menace. It wanted to devour me.
I willed a miniscule prayer making the sign of the cross before me. It took all my will power. My arms felt like led.
I can still see it hover above me as I uttered the words and moved my hands.
It dissolved, vanished.

A car crash would have been more merciful. That "thing" was pure evil. Some may say it wanted "deliverance" I say it wanted a soul.
