I attended the Tallahassee Trump Rally today 10/25/16. The event was held at the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum. In order to accommodate the crowd, a stage was set up in a large field that surrounds the property. Rally goers gathered in an open field and were encouraged to bring blankets to spread on the ground, as no chairs could be brought in.

The event was scheduled to start at 6pm. The parking area was opened to begin at 2pm. We had to pick up my partner's HS student at 1:45 and then proceeded to the event. Cars had already been lined up and waiting to get in before 2pm. We waited patiently and finally got parked at about 2:45. The Leon County Sherriff's office was in charge of traffic control and quite frankly they didn't know what they were doing.

Cars were sitting still, waiting in line for 3 miles at least. We could see the cars waiting in line from the venue. The line went from the entrance gate for 1 mile back up the road to the off ramp from the Interstate and cars were in line, standing still on the Interstate for 2 miles. The parking area was filled to capacity and we overheard a Sherriff's Deputy say they had run out of parking.

They closed the gate and wouldn't let anyone else in. People were parking their cars on the side of the road and walking to the gate. I have no idea how to even begin to describe the size of the crowd. The best comparison I can give is to compare the crowd to what I have seen at music concerts. It was packed. I saw no protestors inside the venue during the rally. There were protestors outside the event as we were leaving.

The make up of the crowd was mixed. Women were in probably equal number to men. Quite a few African Americans in attendance along with some Hispanic/Latinos. Yes, the majority was white but considering the percentages, I would have to say minorities were well represented in the crowd.

The hours spent waiting were not boring at all. A great sound system was set up and really good music was playing. People were friendly. Strangers would randomly strike up a conversations and there was no disruptive behavior inside the venue. Overall, I would call it a good experience once you got past the long line to get in.

Thank-you for relating your experience, Khalees! If you didn't watch any Mainstream Media sources, but saw only videos of Trump and Clinton rallies, you'd be convinced that Donald Trump is going to win election in a landslide.

It boggles the mind how different "real world" experiences are, versus the manipulated polls and MSM broadcasts.

For instance, common sense says that these rally comparison statistics point to Donald Trump as the clear winner on November 8th. See: www.thegatewaypundit.com...

This is one of the things that makes ATS wonderful!

Real world experience and boots on the ground.

Don't worry though, someone will be along shortly to assure you that anecdotal evidence and rally crowd size are no measure of support.

(p.s. thank you very much for sharing!)

Yep. Trump fills entire stadiums to capacity, whereas Hillary actually had to use people as filler for her rallies on several occasions just to make them look larger than they were in the very selective media angles and shots. Even doing a Google image search of Hillary rallies, the largest ones I can find aren't even hers, they're Bernie Sanders' rallies. All real-world non-msm evidence points to Trump annihilating Hillary support-wise.

Sure does seem like he can attract large crowds.
Will see what November brings!

I thought I might settle in for the day in front of the TV to watch , but the way MSM has been carrying on with the polls, I started to think why bother, I may as well watch the end results or even just wait for the news alert or texts on my phone " Clinton is president" . So ok you've put my interest back, will watch the voting all day now lol

I don't know about him being fit to be president, but I think you need a big shake up and Hillary sucks

Thanks for sharing your experience

you have lots of S&G so I am adding mine.

Too many on this site are ignoring pro Trump threads (and I know you didn't say who you prefer) and letting the hill trolls drive the conversation.

Minorities aren't as dumb and easy to manipulate as the Democrat's think. They actually want better lives just like we do.

You know... I've gotta say; I just drove across the country from AZ to VA and I mainly saw "TRUMP" in AZ and "TRUMP" in VA... With a hellava lot of TRUMP bumper stickers in between. Of couse I saw Hillary house signs peppered in here and there, but I'd have to say at a ratio of about 1 to 8.

This is merely an observation during my travels. I do not have a horse in this race.

Clinton's popularity is an illusion, smoke and mirrors. The establishment knows this which is why the media is carrying her water and told to repeat the narrative that she has already won. PsyOp at it's finest.

I'm in PA and myself and the other non-Trump supporters don't feel the need to show up at the rallies. I also don't want to be accosted by any Trump supporters who might try to make drama out of it. Trump supporters are generally more likely to go to these types of events... I think it really has to do with the personalities of the candidates. I don't need to go to a campaign event to show my support for someone. I'm just going to vote.

And so are many folks who I called for phone banking, particular spanish-speakers (as I speak Spanish), but they don't necessarily have the time to attend campaign events either. Mostly because many of us in the poorer areas of the state work multiple jobs and have many responsibilities and don't have the time to show up at silly events that won't change anyone's mind.

In some areas the signs only came in last week, and additionally it's the same phenomenon as with the rallies. Trump supporters are more likely to wear their political stance on their sleeve. Other supports don't necessarily feel the need to do so as much.

Just to update my OP: Reports of traffic from the Trump rally as reported on the radio this morning. Traffic was waiting in inline on the interstate from the Thomasville Rd exit to the exit at the rally. That is 6 miles. And that is just the traffic coming from that direction. Traffic on Mahan Rd was also waiting in line. We have also heard reports on the radio that Leon County Sherriff Department closed the gates to the venue early WITHOUT approval. They were claiming that the Secret Service told them to close the gate but reports are coming in that the Secret Service did NOT order them to close the gates until Trump was on the grounds. They closed the gates long before Trump arrived. Tallahassee is a heavily Democrat area and speculation is rampant that they did not want Tallahassee to be seen with that large of a crowd for Trump.

I took video of part of Trump's speech. My partner took some video also. She may have some crowd shots. I'll have to look and see what we have. I haven't reviewed any of it yet. I'll see what I can do.

What an amazing experience and rally! The crowd was fantastic, the community spirit, the cheering was so loud! I was so excited to be there. I believe he will be the 45th President! Having said all that, the sheriff's office really slowed down traffic.

It took 15 minutes to go 10 feet if you were on the I-10 side turning right into the event. Thousands and thousands were stuck in traffic. Here are six pictures to show you how bad it was backed up. I read a comment on FB and will show you just how amazing it was and this is a heavily BLUE area. Many think the back-up was intentional.

My husband was driving home tonight from business travel on 1-10 in Florida. The traffic came to a complete stop. Cops were everywhere. I was on the phone with him. He rolled down his window to see if he could figure out what was going on. He heard Mr. Trumps voice. So did I. Literally! My husband was passing through Tallahassee and Mr Trump was doing a rally right off the interstate. My husband said there were people as far as the eye could see and the crowd was extremely loud in cheers. Our Country needs this man. We need this man! Let's pray together!!

This was coming from North bound I-10 and it went back nearly 6.7 miles, I did a search on google maps to find out how far that was.

This was South bound I-10 and it was miles long as well

This is East bound Mahan backed up at least to Capital Circle NE which is 3 miles!

You see that dip at the bottom? That's where they turn left into the event. It took over and hour to get that far from this picture position.

More traffic stopped on Mahan:

This is North bound I-10 heading to exit miles away! If you were in this jam at 2pm there was no way your were getting into the event. The deputies basically didn't let the highway traffic in at all. I'd say there were twice as many people waiting to get in as actually got in, and there were fields open to park in. We still had a huge crowd, but I'd bet there were 30,000 people trying to get into the event.
