yep
did you count requested but not returned?

The ones not returned yet are largely registered Democrats, IIRC.

I think it was like 133,000 Democrats had not returned theirs and somewhere around 100,000 Republicans hadn't returned theirs yet.

I'll go double check and post a link.

ETA...

I was way off:

Republicans mail-in ballots requested and not returned: 704,440
Democrats mail-in ballots requested and not returned: 733,605

so would it be fair to say approximately 10% have requested a ballot or voted early?

12,655,286 registered voters in Florida
1,867,602 have requested mail-in ballots and not returned them
1,323,434 have completed mail-in votes
291,449 have voted early

About 40% of mail ins have been returned.

Florida seems to run about 75% turnout overall for Presidential elections, so there are a lot more in person votes to be cast. Call it 17% of votes have been cast.

pardon my ignorance but does florida release results before the polls close on election day?

nevermind
those numbers are requests for ballots

are you assuming d will vote hillary and r will vote trump?

how have you divided no party affiliated?

Exactly. My daughter (we are not in FL) is a registered Democrat voting for Trump. There are probably millions more just like her and vice versa.

This thread is kind of misleading. Ballot requests versus the number of actual votes are two different things, right??

When did "early voting" become a thing? Does anyone know or did I just miss it somehow?

Do those include the ballots that will be found in the trunk of a poll worker's personal automobile a few weeks after the election?

Don't forget the guy that ruined the last big Flori-Duh voting fiasco, that guy "Dangling Chad"... Bernie Sanders was this years Al Gore, a guy that should've had the orifice but instead gets "bought out" but look at it this way, if Al Gore didn't get cheated, chances are We wouldn't be having this dialogue-Thanks Al.

Oh, and don't forget the "payout" to Gore to the tune of $400 something million..

Dangling Chad where are You when We need You.............. again?

In Florida, early voting started in 2004.

interested to see your projected vs actual

do you think the 75% turnout will be the same or more turnout or less turnout?

No idea.

Something interesting about the numbers I came up with though, Clinton has a 2 point lead. That's pretty much in line with the polls.

For what that's worth.

Democrats there have been stepping up the effort to get people who are eligible to vote. Republicans have been cut adrift by Trump's use of money ("all for me, none for you.") From what I've read, Republicans are scrambling to get voters registered but it may be too little and too late.

Early voting's already begun.

Early voting's been around for quite awhile, even in Florida. It was originally very restrictive but since 2000 all the states have loosened up the laws so that working class people can vote. I first did early voting in Texas over 20 years ago, and regularly vote early (and encourage my classes to do so.)

I'd still call it a toss up.
But I think Trump needs it, while Clinton would like to have it.
