Dragons, i love dragons, i don't believe this is real though, but need a second opinion in ATS.

Source is youtube .

A man in China took footage of this giant mysterious flying creature that was spotted near the border of Laos. Many theories have emerged with some claiming the creature is a real dragon that was caught on tape and others saying it provides evidence that pterodactyls still exist. Is this a dragon or a pterodactyl caught on tape?

It might be a dragon, but definitely not a dreygon.

None of the above, its a hoax. The loose structure of the wings (my perception) would not allow for flight or a soar. The wings, in my opinion looked like something as loose as a Red Indian headdress. Of course i could be wrong

I'd say more Dragon than Pterodactyl. I don't like.the way it.goes behind the cloud. The cloud isn't very dense where it disappears and you should be able to see the creature for a bit longer, I'm gonna say CGI hoax. That's just viewing on my mobile phone, I bet I'd see more on my laptop...

Wow. That looks VERY real.

That is really believable.

The only thing that makes me question it though is that the frequency of the flaps, and size of the wings dont seem like they could support the weight of that creature.. especially with that tail.

The wings look awful feeble for a dragon of that size.
I personally think it's cgi a reply to: Mianeye

Looks real but could be fake because the camera moves slower than the dragon itself.

Then the color doesn't match with the mountains. If it were a bit faded and with a misty view (as in when you look at mountains from a distance) then it'd be real.

Fake. Known hoax... Again.

@jedihamster beat me to it.

Doesn't everyone love the idea of giant lizards? Flying, fire breathing or not?

The camera gives everything a washed out almost soft pastel look except the dragon.
When the camera shakes the dragon does not seem to shake.
Looks like CGI to me.

All that ( cgi ) , I mean flapping would make the body move but , the body doesn't move .

So we're do I get the 2 mins of my #ty life back ?

2nd one, wing beat too slow, and wing total area too small, would never achieve lift never mind straight and narrow flight. If this were real it would mean i could strap on a pair of wings, flap and fly ....... perhaps with the aid of a powered exoskeleton it may be possible, but not that smooth

Icarus and Daedalus spring to mind ....... myth, legend and hoax

Yes.

And then showed another lovely fake dragon video.

NO.

The object, and I will call it an object, actually I will call it a video overlay, does not follow the laws of aerodynamics. There's no way it would be able to fly that straight with that few wing flaps.

Taking a look at it in slow motion only covers up that fact.

Nice try.
