Wikileaks is a company. I said it before and I'll say it again. They sell stuff. Same reason they waited for 10th anniversary tostart with leaks.

Don't know what he's got- or why he's announcing that he's got anything at all. The idea appears to be to create suspense, and if that's the case it's drama- which means it's very likely nothing spectacular.

Yes, deadman switch. He caught nasty people saying nasty things who don't think twice about spreading other peoples money around to do nasty things to people. Do not see the unreasonable use, that you seem to be implying, of him using a deadman switch.

In this case, O'Keefe is not implying any claim to keep the information safe/hidden. According to O'Keefe it's coming Monday no matter what. So it's a pretty unconventional use of a 'dead man's switch' akin to simply grandstanding.

That's needlessly judgmental. It is a different take on it, but to me he is simply saying, "If you kill me I've arranged to have it come out anyway, so it doesn't need me to be there, therefore don't kill me. It won't do you any good." So sure, that's different than the normal definition, but it's still more or less the same idea. To me it's pedantic to point out the nuanced difference. "Oh, no! He said "their" when he should have said "there' All is now invalid!" It's a picky difference. Let it go!
