Bill Murray showed up at the press briefing today and hillarity ensued. He is such an all around good guy and so funny. He's everyone's favorite party-crasher and his Chicago Cubs are one win away from the World Series.

Murray came to Washington to receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday, but arrived early to discuss the award — and likely Chicago sports as well — with the president. Murray's beloved Cubs are one win away from their first World Series appearance since 1945, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 in a seven-game series. Though Obama is a noted fan of the Chicago White Sox, he has stated he will support his team's crosstown rival.

From the thread title I was thinking he had literally just showed up unannounced to the white House but the text you quoted said he was there receiving an award. I was about to say, Bill is undeniably a unique badass but doesn't give him the right to waltz into the white House.

Either way, yea, I adore Bill Murray.. never knew he was a baseball kinda dude. Gives me an idea of his character outside of his career and that's neat.

And big into golf.

He's a character. He's like the most interesting man in the world.

But he's Bill Murray.

He is so laid back! Unlike (rest his soul) Robin Williams who needs to be "on" at all times there is Bill standing at the podium answering a question about his beloved Cubs! He does not speed up, raise his voice, just calm and cool as cucumber delivers his answer.

"Too many sticks. I mean Kirshaw is a great pitcher... but yeah, too many sticks!"

Classic!

Another great Bill Murray moment when he crashed a bachelor party.

He really should be officially called The most interesting man in the world. Wonder what his drink of choice is..

He's done many classic movies. St. Vincent's is a newer one. He plays an aging war vet who ends up babysitting the kid next door. Melissa McCarthy plays the kids mom. He plays a great character. Many people may have a neighbor like him.

Not funny.

Today we learned that Bill Murray is an agent of the Matrix. Sad.

And that is what has become of America, we are a joke. There was an ideal of goodness, of equity that was held in the heart of every American. Its still there. These bastards are not gonna win.

I agree! He can be interesting without ever having to open his mouth because his face is just so..... I don't know how to describe it. I just love his face.

But he's Bill Murray.

But?

You're not alone. I think HUMBLEONE might have accidentally made 3 posts in a row in the wrong thread. That was bizarre.
