Warning: Wikileaks May Have Just Been Hacked By NSA

There was a sustained DDoS attack this morning against Dyn inc. Apparently it affected twitter, wikileaks, redditt and others.

I checked out the map at norse attacks and it is pretty lit up hitting the east coast.

This is a strange expression

A distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack against DynDNS is causing havoc online, with many major websites reportedly unavailable. According to Dyn DNS, the attack started at 11:10 UTC, and it targeted its managed DNS service.

The Domain Name System (DNS) is a tool used to resolve human-readable web addresses (like “thenextweb.com”) against IP addresses.

Many sites and services use DynDNS as their upstream DNS provider, including Github, Twitter, SaneBox, Reddit, AirBnB, and Heroku. All of these are reportedly experiencing outages and downtime, either partially or totally.

Update [09:41 ET]: CNBC is reporting that Dyn has restored service.

The NSA has been in it since the beginning...cmon. We know they have...for real....its what they do. Don't kid yourself...

This is just baseless speculation.

WikiLeaks went on a little rant and debated with a few people. So what? It was erratic, but they have gone on similar Twitter sprees in the past. This doesn't mean they were hacked by the NSA or that Assange is dead or missing. It just means that someone operating the Twitter account decided to debate people who were spreading lies or talking #.

Wikileaks has definitely been hacked. They show a lot of error pages which has never happened before. Lots of emails in there you can't open. Interesting...

Or they could just be the subject of an attack. WikiLeaks regularly gets attacked with methods such as DDOS. That doesn't mean they have been hacked, however.
