cant attract votes on the real issues, so have to scrounge them
up with fears of a Russian takeover and poor Hillary.

Perhaps this is the Plan by the Trump GOP defectors. They think they have a better shot of getting what they want using impeachment to take down Clinton and Kaine thus installing Ryan, hence why he did not run.

Hillary wins the presidency and the Democrats take back Senate. I'm not sure about the house, its gonna be close. I see the Democrats winning upto 25 house seats, thus forcing republicans to abandon there obstructionist policies.
