Myd dream car would be a 1970 Chevelle 396SS in Candy Apple Plum with a slightly lowered suspension and ridiculouly wide tires (think Lambo wide)

My first car was a 1974 Vega station wagon with the wood panel (vinyl) treatment....... Hey don't laugh it was free and I could go a month without gassing up.

I'd post pics but my internet is totally screwed up ( guess I should pay the bill).

Oh, I'm also a huge fan of the Elio. I hope it makes it to production.

My current daily driver is a 71 Ford Torino, and I love it for its simplicity.

My favorite car that I have owned is a 1970 Caddy Fleetwood Limo. It had a 472 cid and a turbo 400 tranny. It was a 5700 pound car that didn't know when to quit. I would give every car I've ever owned to have it back.

Favorite car that I've never owned would be a VW Thing. I just love its quirky utilitarian charm.

I'll pull bikes in, I still love my Ural Gear Up 2011. Great fun and useful for getting a Yeti full of beer wherever it needs to be.

Love VW, I've owned a 72 Beetle, 79 Rabbit diesel, and a 74 Transporter (hippy van). All fun rides.

My friend had a Vega station wagon. It was called a Kammback, iirc.
We had a lot of fun in that thing, beat the hell out of it.

Most definitely, especially in today's market where everything seems to just get more and more expensive. It would be refreshing to have a nice, stylish option on the low end of the spectrum.

It's obviously not a family vehicle, but would be a perfect, low cost, 2nd car option for folks that commute long distances for work and such.

In 1968 I rode to school with my best friend Dan. Dan's dad worked at the local So Cal Chrysler Dodge dealership. Besides Chrysler products, there was a section for Domestic Exotics. Dan's Dad would let us have a different car every week, and of course Dan would drive.... exclusively. (smart move by Dad).

In the course of all that time we were turned loose with a Sunbeam Tiger 260 V8, A 1968 Orange Roadrunner with the pistol grip and all the HIPO accessories, a 1965 AC Cobra 427, a Triumph TR4 and finally a Meyers Manx dune Buggy. Frankly the Meyers Manx was the most fun of all the cars that went through our hands (Dan's hands, with me shotgun).

Oh by the way......... the Cobra........untamable in any respect, a wild beast with no manners.

Tell me about it. I wanted to grab just a 327 '66 or '67 convertible and a decent car is in the $50-60,000+ range.
