When a person makes claims, the claims themselves need to have corroborating evidence, no matter who is making the claim. If you believe a claim ONLY because it came from a certain person (with no other corroborating evidence) than that is giving in to the fallacy of "Appeal to Authority".

Being an authority on something (or in Bushman's case, being in a position to "know things") does not automatically make something those people said "true" just because they said it. Those people would still be under a burden to provide evidence supporting the specific claim.

It's impossible. Because by definition, to be efficient you have to eliminate inefficiencies. That's what killing is. Killing is not loving but is necessary to delete inefficencies.

We're just wired to be sympathetic to other beings because of the gene centered view of evolution. That is, our emotions are wired to protect our genes. Consider that your a capsule for your genes. Your genes want to survive inside of you just as much as they want to survive in other capsules. There's nothing actually good about this. It's just another way to look at what you have to kill.

Accordingly, "good" isn't actually good. It's just your genes brainwashing your head. You can program something to feel anyway about anything for any reason. And then it will feel that what it's desired to feel is "good" or "bad" and it will be just as justified as what you value as good or bad. It's just programming.

I would like to program my jeans to fit just right.

As a member...you should know...part of our requirements here are to post a link, video, paragraph of something of the info you mentioned in your o.p. But, you did not as required.

Some havent a clue what, who you are threading on...although in this case...its already discussed elsewhere. At least go with the rules, Ts and Cs of ATS. Give us the info, where, link to video, article or clip you are starting a topic on.

Many will just not participate in your discussion without referencing your sources. Thats why ATS expects it.

I sometimes have those same frustrated questions of why we are being played like the way we do.

Then I've got to get myself back to reasoning the fact that It's all how evolution works with everything.

A struggling species like we are ,just want to know every answer to questions about our lives and why we are here.

Why aren't we receive any help from a god like creature telling us how it should be done?

Then after awhile the simple answer comes to my mind.

Life isn't the answer to our questions, it's a journey to learn from our mistakes,that will take a tremendous time to get maybe a small percentage of those questions.

If your able on vivid moments to grasp deep inside of you ,you know the answer.

However we always seem to hold on to that moment for a very brief moment in time.

It's not the alien species that can help us out,we never would accept another species to tell how we should live our lives . It only can be solved by our own species.

Think. If aliens would have given your gouvernment these big technological advantages, wouldn't the politics be very different? If you had secret alien weapons would a guy like Duterte dare to call your president a son of a whore?

What do you think is the reason BT UFOs are seen in the US and basically nowhere else? Abductions? Skysounds? Your gouvernment didn't get a deal, you're on probation and the citizens are held hostage. And unfortunately it's not looking too good.

If extraterrestrials exist and want to wipe this planet of any threat. It would be very simple. In-fact, we would never even know they had a hand in it.

They could simply *nudge* a couple half mile / mile size asteroids our way.

One lands in the ocean.. boom global flood. One hits on land, boom no sun, all crops die. Then everything living thereafter.


You would not see lasers, photon torpedo's, or alien ground invasions. It would be the most efficient, cost effective way possible.

Then after the smoke clears *literally* they would move their machinery down and chew up what ever resources they wanted. Then move on leaving a barren Mars like shell of a planet behind.

Find a hobby, play a sport, go for walk and get some fresh air.

Maybe they aren't 'aliens' at all...some theories have it that they could be dimensional or time travellers from our future..in effect, our progeny or what will be descendants at some future point.

If that is the case, they'd probably have little option than to follow the script of war, crooked liars, and so on, and even support the way that plays out, or else, if things didn't happen according to their history(our future)...they might never exist.

I believe there is a bigger purpose to the relationship with aliens and Earth. In fact, the relationship that we have with them *might* also be a shared common ground interest from various global powers from around the world as well. I think it perhaps goes beyond weaponry but actually the technology to solve a lot of the world's problems. But the deal we have is to first prove we can be trusted with it - so this means control - control that could be considered what people view as 'globalisation' or 'new world order' and an example of this might be the European Union framework and insitutions. The reasoning behind this is so that this 'control' can equate to peace and harmony, and in turn, the demonstration that we are at peace and can be trusted with the technology.

Of course, human nature is a known destructive force, and there is no guarantee that even after demonstrating peace that we can be trusted not to fight ourselves with the technology. Which is why I think this has been taking a very long time to happen. And there is no doubt, as history will show, that there are always ulterior motives at play for selfish reasons such as greed and dominance that underlie the motives for acquiring any source of power more so than helping to fix our problems.

Or maybe we're the good aliens only because we've yet to figure out how to travel through space bombing the crap out of everyone we encounter.

Unilateral nuclear disarmament would go a long way into seeing further progress made, but the problem is how do you agree on that when nobody trusts each other still? Especially if you consider that the goals into acquiring the technology are not mutual from the point of view of Russia for example - who remain sceptical over whether the US has not already negotiated a better deal for themselves already, and/or whether it is a ploy to simply disarm Russia. Like I said before, people always have ulterior motives and that is human nature, and in a world that is still divided by greed and dominance, it is one of the reasons I think/believe Russia is not playing ball on this. They are protecting their own interests because there is still a great level of distrust.

Nuclear disarmament will never happen.

Too much scope for a few hundred nukes to be hidden in dumbs or in space, under the oceans etc for any nuclear power to trust that the other powers will stick to the agreements.

Besides, by now we probably have much more terrible weapons than nukes...whatever happens with nukes, there's no way they'll get rid of weapons they don't even talk about openly...

The only way forward, is cooperation not conflict.
