I'll state my point right here at the beginning for convenience. I believe the women who are accusing Trump of sexual assault and rape.

The reason I believe them is because of Trumps speaking patterns. Over the last year we've listened to Trump sell himself, he's a salesman afterall and his name is the product. Many comics have imitated his style, and so have many posters here on ATS. For as successful as he has been, Trumps range is actually pretty narrow. He claims expertise, that he has the best, and finally that unseen others say he has the best, and only losers would use anything else. This applies to everything he does, from telling people to vote for him, to policies, to attacks.

What it all has in common though is that sales pitches are lies. Every time Trump uses this tactic it's attached to a lie. And that of course makes sense, because he's trying to sell something reality doesn't matter, only the perception of reality. It's just marketing.

This ultimately is why I believe the women that are accusing him. When Trump has put forward honest denials he doesn't use his sales tactic he is using it with these accusers though. He suggests he's above it, that others don't believe it, and that only losers like Hillary supporters would buy into it.

In other words, that sales pitch is basically his poker tell and it's an easy way to tell when he's bluffing. His innocence here is a bluff.

Surprised that hasn't been a thread yet... paparazzi is all anyone really cares about these days, as evidenced across Amerika.

I watched that video twice and didn't see it (no sound though, if that makes a difference). His pose with his leg up is a little odd, but plenty of people have posed like that while talking on a phone. That's the quickest exposure ever if you think Obama did it.

This isn't about Obama though, it's about Trump and his words and actions. When Trump is selling something, and especially when he's denying the truth he doubles down, proclaims himself an expert, says others support him, and closes with an attack against the disbelievers. Egypt Air crash, his tax plans, Russia in Ukraine, nationwide stop and frisk, the list is literally endless. What he's saying here with the women is the exact same speech patterns as other times he's in the wrong, and knows he's in the wrong.

His honest denials follow a pattern of deny, deny, he would never do that, deny, deny, deny and are much longer speeches. It's a completely different pattern.

Using the same logic, I suppose he was bluffing to Billy Bush and Howard Stern, just trying to sell himself to his audience.

He does have a technique called 'truthfull hyperbole', which he goes into in his book.

Ok its not just about Trump. There is no vacuum in a thing like this. LOL and if their was its all getting sucked up into the bag. Cant be taken seriously trying to isolate Trump like the Lame Stream Media is doing.

The fact that the Hillary campaign has already been caught colluding with the media. Hired protestors for Trumps rallies. Rigged the primaries against Bernie. Worked directly with the DNC staff to defame Bernie by making false accusations. Hired internet trolls to muddy up facts on the internet. Lied numerous times in a FBI investigation that involved the highest levels of national security and is surrounded with corruption and murder scandals make me think twice. Especially due to the timing of all this.

I'd consider her comparable to a mob boss in all honesty. So hiring some women to accuse him of these atrocities seems like the Hillary way. We all know she will do anything for power.

It's possible, he often blusters his way through life inflating his own ego. Of course, his idea of bluster in this case is to brag about sexually assaulting people. Maybe that's all it was and the guy really just doesn't know any better. Actual accusers are starting to show up now though and say that yes, Trump really does these things. That video has nothing to do with why I believe them. I believe them because of what Trump has said in response to their claims.

Where I come from, we call those "fisherman's stories" or "tall tales". Those are polite southern euphemisms for "making sh!t up".

Damned if he/she/it didn't actually turn right around and make a thread about it. Le sigh. Thank you, for contributing to the quality of our forums.

It's where we're at, sadly.

All is fair in Politics + Sex, all is Reality TV now.
