Hi I love the USA it we have some crazy laws. Here are a few. Please add some strange laws from where you live. Thank you. This is my first thread.

California prison workers will no longer be allowed to have sex with inmates

Califorina above and below. A bag wow.

In San Jose and Sunnyvale it is illegal for grocery stores to provide plastic bags.

Michigan, wow is Jack Knkilling dogs?

It is illegal to kill a dog using a decompression chamber.

Kentucky. This one is funny.

One may not dye a duckling blue and offer it for sale unless more than six are for sale at once.

Let’s start with Nevada. In Reno, sex toys are outlawed, and it is illegal to lie down on the sidewalk, no matter how drunk and tired you are. Apparently, at some point in the past, Reno also had issues with benches in the middle of the street, as lawmakers felt the need to ban putting them there. Other than that, most of the laws in Nevada are pretty reasonable.

In northern California, 15+ years ago I had to work for the local humane society(irony) for a few weeks due to a court ordered fine. While I was there, for a few days in a row many times a day I was instructed to retrieve bags from a certain door any time one should appear and promptly dispose of it in a hazardous waste dumpster. I got curious as to what was in the bags, and what the room was for ...I should not have. Apparently it is much cheaper to just stick the animal in to an airtight box and just suck the air out with a vacuum pump(decompression chamber). Disturbing

So this Michigan law is somewhat understandable.

Here in my city in Alberta Canada it is still technically legal to ask that upon your release from prison you be provided with a horse and a gun with one bullet so that you may ride out of town, and "thanks" to Trudeau it's legal Canada wide to have sex with animals

In Pennsylvania, it's illegal to sleep on a refrigerator.

I had to sign a waiver when I bought my house to promise to abide by a 150 year old law stating that I would not manufacture soap on the property.

Really.

Back in the nineties I found this kit for making scented soaps and I was hesitant to buy it.
I told myself I was not manufacturing soap because I was giving them as gifts.

Shhhhh. No one ever found out. LOL.

Casinos own the state through and through, wouldn't surprise me if there isn't SOME kind of legislation in the books for it.

Just don't place a bench in the middle of the road in Reno though.

This is going to become more general, for environmental reasons. In Britain, and probably elsewhere, the supermarkets are obliged to make a charge for plastic bags.

I live in Illinois, [ that's depressing enough by itself ] , so, open any law book to any page and I'm sure you'll run across something stupid. Everything is illegal, except for breathing and there's a heavy tax on that.

New York - It is illegal to congregate in public with two or more people while each wearing a mask or any face covering which disguises your identity.

The penalty for jumping off a building is death. - Most Redundant!

In my town it's illegal to drink in public.
I am talking about walking downtown around the court house square with a bottle of beer.

No problem there.

But.....
You can drink at the 4 or 5 summer cruise in car shows that take place around the same square.
Wth?

There are lots of seemingly crazy/bad laws and statutes on the UK books. One of my favourites is Trespass, its an offence that is not technically offence except under certain circumstances which are open to almost endless interpretations depending on which part of the UK the offence did, or did not, take place in www.inbrief.co.uk...

licensing....they charge someone for a permit to do that. you wanna do it? File for the permit, and pay the fee.

In the state of Texas its illegal to carry your own booze into an establishment that serves booze. But its more illegal for the establisment than you.

Well, there are many odd laws and traditions in England and some even odder by-laws. Many of which I can quote having just done a quick search. Here's an obvious one though...

"It is illegal under the terms of the Prohibition and Inspections Act of 1998 to cause a nuclear explosion. "

Oral sex is a crime against nature in North Carolina.........me & the wife are damn sure going to jail.

In New Joisy it is against the law for a man to knit during the fishing season.

Yup, totally illegal.
