The following is from an attachment to /podesta-emails/emailid/5953. This shows that the Clinton campaign and major media outlets met before the official announcement of Hillary's presidential run to discuss strategies and the framing of the narrative they are to be helping to weave:

EVENT MEMO
FR: Jesse Ferguson
RE: Benenson’s Cocktails on 4.10.15

This is an off-the-record cocktails with the key national reporters, especially (though not exclusively) those that are based in New York. Much of the group includes influential reporters, anchors and editors.

The goals of the dinner include:
(1) Give reporters their first thoughts from team HRC in advance of the announcement
(2) Setting expectations for the announcement and launch period
(3) Framing the HRC message and framing the race
(4) Enjoy a Frida night drink before working more

TIME/DATE: As a reminder, this is called for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10th. There are several attendees – including Diane Sawyer – who will be there promptly at 6:30 p.m. but have to leave by 7 p.m

Here we can see that the Clinton campaign has already determined that the media will be aiding in it's message delivery and wants to give the direction the campaign reporters are to follow when discussing the Clinton presidential run. Iimagine that they received a 'talking points' bible from which to determine major positions to any issues that were likely to arise. I imagine that a list of 'approved' questions were quite likely also included to help give the appearance of a non-biased media.

Now to the list of media attendees and Clinton campaign luminaries:

It does? Where does it do that? So when Donald Trump reached out to Bill Clinton three weeks before he entered the race, was that Bill Clinton and Donald Trump "discussing strategies and the framing of the narrative they are to be helping to weave?"

I mean they did talk right?

This was 2 days before the official announcement. Hardly the time to start planning the massive collusion effort wouldn't you say?

Come on you Trump supporter quit providing evidence of wrong doing which will not be recognized by Queen Hillary's supporters anyway. It has to just be something she did to help children and families. I mean after all Trump did say some bad things. And the Russians want him to be president!(ignore the fact that it is probably true due to them not wanting WW3).

The Media vs The People.... above all else, that is truly what is at stake here.

Something sinister has happened to the media in this country.

"Framing the HRC message and framing the race."

It should read:

"Building the media wall 30ft higher."

so.. giving the media a heads up that oh yeah im running for president and here are my talking points so you can get to writing your articles or planning your news pieces in advance is wrong?

I think you are grasping at straws, i see no harm or issue with any candidate taking the media to drinks and having a meet and great if you will explaining your goals, expectations and how you would like to frame your bid for the highest office in the land. hell or for any office for that matter.

This is only news because it is in a wikileaks cache dump but i highly doubt it was even a secretive meeting with a list of invited guest that long it must be super duper evil planning... .

i think it would be more telling if the only people invited were the people running the companies that then could control any content being put out by the reporters on staff.. but instead they invited the reporters...

have we really gotten to the point that we will try to demonize anything and everything the other candidate does just to try and prop up "our guy"?

i bet if you look hard enough you would probably find that Trump and all the other candidates did something to this effect as well...

The irony of all these massive news agencies who report on NEWS being told this is "off-the record".

Especially NPR which is taxpayer funded. They take donations as well but make no mistake they get money from all Americans of all parties. They should not be allowed to attend any meetings of this nature where they are instructed not to divulge or report anything. Keep it all internal. I have a serious problem with that. The other ones are private companies. They can do what they want.

for breaking what law??....you people can say that all day long (which you do). outrage, speculation, innuendo, and misinformation does not work in a court of law.

It doesn't matter what they find in these e-mail dumps, it's all Trump's fault.

The Clintons collude with everyone, it is who they are. They are the superpredators of politics and influence peddling.

Everything they do is a grift. Everything.

I can't grasp why people would take their side. Can you really be that dumb? I wouldn't think so.

It is fun sometimes to take the unpopular antagonist role, and work people into a frenzy, but come on, if you actually support the Clintons, it may be time for a lobotomy.

Democrats got bullied by the DNC, Hcamp, media, corporations. There were much better candidates on that stage. They never had a chance to pick anyone else. Really sad.

Yep, with absolutely zero proof too. Only dems can parade around conspiracies that are defaulted to truth.

"This is an off-the-record cocktails"

How can they get started writing their articles or planning your news pieces if what is to be discussed is "off the record"?

If all they wanted to do was explain their goals and expectations why would it need to be "off-the-record"

technically all they had to do was hold a press conference to do that; no need to have cocktails.

But than again when you have a different private and a public agenda than I can certainly understand why you would want to talk about that "off-the-record".
