Being forced to watch two monkeys throwing faeces at each other

Waking up early in the morning, the first thing i do is watching the MSM news.
To start a day with a good laugh is always a good decision.

We had a (again fishy) terror raid, followed by a little manhunt, course the alleged suspect could flee from "our" fantastic "security" officials.
This suspect, a syrian refugee(as we are told) was caught by another syrian refugee. Not by "our" "security" officials, again...
The whole thing comes a little bit of staged, with a controlled detonation of the found 500g of explosives while a live interview. It would need an own thread to explain the whole story.

One would think that this would dominate our news here.
But it doesn´t.
It´s again the two childish monkeys in the overseas, that wanna become POTUS, who dominate our news here in Germany, the 53rd missing star on the US flag, after Alaska and Hawaii.
The news broadcaster i watched for around 20 minutes(till i couldn´t stand it anymore) had around 3-5 minutes of german and worldnews, and the rest of the programme:
Trump, Clinton, Clinton, Trump, Clinton, Trump, Clinton, Trump, Clinton, Trump, Clinton, Trump...
And this repeats every 15 minutes.

So i watched that stage play for one time.
It was a feeling like watching two little childs fighting for toys. Or better, like i said before, like two monkeys throwing faeces at each other.
How can take a selfthinking person take the whole theatre play serious???

There you have this laughable wannabe businessman Trump attacking Bill Clinton instead of Hillary(thought Hillary is to elect...). Sure he never said everything he said, or meant it like that. Sure he is the one on earth who respects women most. Bla, bla, bla...
Then you have that other rich individual (rich people like Trump and Clinton care for? Right, only othe rich people!), wallstreet Clinton. Not enough power to stand while the debate, not able to answer why she destroyed 33.000 emails, blablabla. And for sure, everything Trump said is completely not the truth...

This smear campaign of a POTUS election is the worst ever. Looking at the candidates, all former presidents look like serious, freedom loving, working for the people individuals, even George W. How can a serious person even think about voting for one of those two faeces throwing monkeys? How can a serious person take this staged debates serious? Both protagonists are trained, programmed like robots by their PR teams, every move, every blink, every word is memorized, just to fool the people.

It´s so obvious that the rich and powerful people that rule the USA want Clinton as their next puppet, actor. But they knew that the US citizens don´t like her. So the other candidate has to be even more ineligible than Clinton and the people will vote for the alleged lesser evil. Clinton.

I wouldn´t wonder if Trump says, after Clintons "coronation", that their plan worked perfectly and the voters are complete fools.
Because the next puppet will be a rich puppet, and the strings of this puppet are pulled by rich individuals. As it ever was. But it is easier for the puppetmasters to pull the strings of a rich puppet, to make "politics" for the rich individuals. Clinton will work (course her strings are pulled like that and she doesn´t defend against it) for people like Trump, only for the rich US citizens. It doesn´t care who plays the next POTUS puppet, the rich will be getting richer, the so called middleclass and poor people will get more poor.

Even the dumbest european realized months before that Trump is a stirrup holder for Clinton, so we are bored by that stage play. That brings me to the next terrorists, the MSM that bombs us, in the so called western world, with that neverending smear campaign, show.
They report even more about that damned POTUS election in germany(ok, we are an occupied US outpost, to be honest) than about german elections, if there is the time for elections here. How can it be that 10-12 minutes of a 15 minutes news report is about the two childish monkeys throwing faeces at each other? In an endless loop. How can it be that every freaking newspaper(i don´t buy xD) is full of this disgusting elections? How can it be that every little fart, done by one of the protagonists, is reported almost live and then in an endless loop?

To be honest, i know why, you too. It´s about who owns the mass media. But let´s do as if we wouldn´t know that. Who of us, for example germans, cares about every fart that happens in the US? We are not like that, at least not the majority of us. We have our RTL and RTLII watchers too, that love such dumb entertainment. Every family has his "black" sheep. We have rightwinger AfD voters too, in the US they would care about Trump and vote for him. We have a richer and richer getting rich class, their individuals would vote for Clinton.

Umm, turn the channel? Unless your country only has one, then turn off the tv?

I just wanted to say, to make it short:
Europe, germany is not the USA, so we are fed to the backteeth(most of us) with that digusting and boring POTUS elections stuff. We have our own politics, our own scandals, our own puppets, our own elections.
Nobody of the two puppet candidates "won" anything the last months, they lost.
Lost the respect of halfway intelligent people worldwide!

And ATS is not the place for millions of senselss and boring elections threads.
This is not the ATS anymore that i know since around 2000(as a lurker). And i am afraid that won´t change anymore.

But i know how it looks since months.
It´s everyday the same crap, Clinton, Trump, Clinton, Trump, as we had to vote. As nothing else would happen on earth.
It´s getting really disgusting.

If you want a good laugh, watch Monty Python, MSN although funny, ain't gonna do what you need. Time to ditch the MSN and find something real. Just my 2 cents.

Unfortunately some people here (America) still think we are the beacon of democracy to the world.

Some even think they are morally superior by picking one of two sides (as if you could collectively put all o free thinking into two categories).

Everyone who doesn't pick the "correct" side is either an idiot or has some sort of psychological disorder.

I beobachted that too.
Don´t get me started on RTL/RTL2 and all the other private tv channels. The only channels I watch are public channels (MDR, SWR..) because they often show documentations, the only thing I´m interested when I turn on my TV. Or NatGeoWild / History HD. Lately I went out of my way on VOX and watched Die Hard 4.0... I use timeshift to jump the advertisements and my receiver shows the points where there is advertising. The blocks were like 10 minutes advertising, 20 minutes movie. And it´s not like it used to be, that after all the product advertising, you get one or two movie previews and the movie would go on...

The reason is, the last two "advertisements" are not seen as ads...because they "present" you the movie and "wish you fun"... So twisted.

Then tell me the results of our german league you see every 5 minutes in every news sports report...

You(the USA) mentioned that almost nobody outside of the USA cares about american football and baseball. Basketball is a bit more popular outside of the USA. But you mentioned that you can make way more money with the worlds most watched sport. A bit late, but you mentioned it. And now you try to jump on that train.

That´s why our football veterans go to play in your league as seniors, when they don´t wanna play serious anymore, but won´t completely stop. They go to Dubai, China, Russia and the USA. Because they don´t have to do anymore than playing football like kids on a soccer court, in this countries. And you pay them way too much money for this...


We are not pushing it over to you, you are copying us.

And i have to say that i don´t even care much about football, there is way more important things to care about.

That´s why i don´t watch TV anymore, since years, just from to time the tax sponsored state propaganda on ARD, ZDF, WDR, Phoenix, N24.

Just to know what i have to think and to believe today. To exactly think and believe the opposite of that then.
I even don´t have to switch my mind for that, i think and believe other things than the big, grey, remote controlled consumer mass, by nature. Maybe it´s because i grew up in a time where kids learned something, read books and were interested in other things than pokemon, spyPhones, Facebook and posting selfies while surfing for online porn...

I take the mass media, TV and newspapers news as everbody should, as satire, as political cabaret. Someting that makes me laugh often, but angry too. Mentioning for how dumb our overssers think we are. Mentioning that the majority really is that dumb, otherwise that cheap political stage play to satisfy the rich wouldn´t work.

Did you mention, if there is one or two times a year a really good documentary on TV, that maybe shows how we all are fooled, when they broadcast it? Late at night, when people have to sleep and can´t watch it. It´s not a coincidence...

I bought a Tizzbird, to use it as a media player, and have harddiscs full of documentaries i collected the last... lets say up to 20 years. I have good movies and series galore too, not torrented.
Thats what my TV is used for. I watch what i want when i want it, without ads, without the need to stream or to run my computer or buy a total surveillance smart tv. I don´t care of there would be a time without the web for a while in the future, i have enough to watch for years...

In my eyes, TV is dead.
Nobody who is able to think for himself can take TV serious nowadays. It´s like and endless running advertising show, between the ads filled with rubbish and political propaganda.

As i said, take it early in the morning and you even won´t need a coffe to deliver your morning sh*t to your porcellan god. And if you take it as it, propaganda, satire and political cabaret(they can´t mean this seroius), it sometimes even can make you laugh.

I haven't watched tv for years because of this. You pay for a service, and then the service provider makes more money by showing adds?? That's madness, what are you paying for?

Screw capitalistic tv, we have the internet at our disposal.

I watch what I want, when I want, with zero adds.
If anyone has any questions on how I accomplish this feat please pm me.
Don't buy into add-ridden tv, the grass is way greener on the internet-side things.

Your post is based on false assumptions. I´m not paying for so called free TV. But I have to pay, by law, a small fee for the public channels. The advertisement on those is not so heavy (as I said).

I know they(free tv providers) have to advertise to make it work, but it worked without being nearly a 2:1 ratio movie/advertisement for years and the quality declined rapidly. And adding to that, if you want to watch HD, you´re going to pay for the private ones, anyways. The only things I pay for out of free will are the docu channels and that´s not much and it´s worth it. I could also download all the documentation movies and watch them on my TV via media streamer...you don´t have to educate me on the possibilities, I was into filesharing in a time where napster/emule/gnutella/torrent/one-clicks were not even invented and you´d need two days loading a crappy SVCD from a hijacked microsoft FTP server. But today, my credo is quality not quantity if I want to watch a good movie, I visit the cinema. Except for series, but since I have Amazon Prime, I can watch those legaly, too. One day you´ll find more interesting things than watching TV. It´s too passive for me.
