I loved it cos of its realism. You don't see judo used enough in these types of films and it was consistent, every kill finished with a head shot, no one left to stab you in the back layer like all Hollywood films. Fair enough not much acting needed and the premise of the film (killed my dog) is laughable at best but the execution and the idea of an assassins hotel made the movie. Can't think of many better but the inner child in me did love the punisher

You can't have 128 gun kills from one guy and rate a 5/10. Even with no explosions or breasts, it's automatically a minimum of a 7. (Tongue in cheek, of course)

I actually haven't seen the sequel yet, but the first was awesome. Never seen another movie like it - a nearly constant soundtrack as he swims his way through his enemies to his target. It was different - maybe not the best story or acting, but the experience of the movie was something unlike any other, and both captivating and entertaining.

I could understand both people who would rate it a '1' and people who would give it a '10' (or a 5.)

Outstanding. He makes killing a whole criminal subculture
look easy. Movie magic: and don't hurt that old Chevelle.
I think the 396 was kind of more worked on than his face.

I did not think it was anywhere near as good as the first film , Which was 8.5 imho just to much killing to be believable
