If You Knew What We Do, You Will Never Sleep Again - NASA Director

Paul Herts, Director of Astrophyics Divion of NASA shared an IMGUR post regards our question about aliens.

Paul Hertz was named Director of the Astrophysics Division in the Science Mission Directorate at NASA in March 2012. He is responsible for the Agency’s research programs and missions necessary to discover how the universe works, explore how the universe began and developed into its present form, and search for Earth-like planets.

He stated this;



The most interesting line would be;

"Be carefull what you wish for. if you guys knew even a fraction of the # we do, you will never sleep again. I promise you that"

I cannot find the original source for this information but googling around it shows some links. I do not wish to state this as fact but if this is as it is, then it sure is interesting. Not only considering that a statement like this is confirming aliens exist as it shows their concern but it shows that NASA sure is hiding more then we know about.

Regardless of whether this is released by the man himself, the points made here are interesting anyway.

I was in a right cheery mood but now I'm a bit terrified If true of course.
I think they should tell us so we can concentrate our efforts globally to combat the upcoming alien invasion.

They're making assumptions about aliens and their behavior/reaction to us and talking out their ass.

Or

Their last statement isn't talking about aliens at all and in the billion other ways we can be snuffed out in an instant in our hostile universe.

If it is accurate and not tongue in cheek, we will have to suppose that they have some sort of evidence that advanced alien civilizations have been visiting our solar system in the past?

Sorry to dampen your spirits friend.

Although I find the quote very interesting and possibly eye opening its context is still putting alien visitation in a bad light. We do not know they would wish us harm, most probably they would not wish us harm. This contextual understanding of evil aliens has been pushed to much by films and media. However, if this is true and this man knows things that we should otherwise know too but are hidden from it, maybe they know of multiple lifeforms out there. I guess like any place on earth, there is nice people, then there is bad.

This does smell of NASA rather opening up slowly about what they know. You may see it a lot recently in the news, discovery of X planet or water under the surface of Jupiter's moon. Link to source, Jupiters Moon

I agree and maybe I should have added my viewpoint to my post but yes. They obviously do know of alien life, I would take them saying we have not been visited with a pinch of salt. We all know, this planet has been visited many times. The strange goings on, on this planet shows a vast array of life moving around out there and here without even seeing photo evidence. I had my own sighting and ill never forget it.

I agree to with the rest you said. They always make out they are hostile or could be, this is film and media for you. Helping them put other life in a bad light.

and yes, odd to say kill ourselves before we find life. Basically sounds like they are hiding A LOT of information we should know.

I can find no quote from said person, just alleged reposts. I found this at Imgur which is a nice collection of words attributed to Paul Hertz, but nothing to show it is not created by any random internet person.

This sounds like nothing that NASA would say.

This contextual understanding of evil aliens has been pushed to much by films and media.

On the other hand, people mistakenly (in my opinion) assume that a race of beings far more advanced than us would be benevolent.

I'm gonna go with hoax as the only three sources I can find are less than credible; a UFO YT channel, imgur and someone who's tried to blow smoke up my ass on two occasions.

The real Dr Paul Hertz wouldn't be using imgur to seed his thoughts and, if it were true, the uploader would have been quick to add the actual links.

Would an astrophysics prof be as hysterical as this? Would they sincerely express a wish for humanity to be culled on the basis of being somehow disappointing? On which measure are they judging the value of humans? Is 'sure as sh**' the common scientific phrase?

Yes most certainly, yes probably and lastly yes.

If they know they are around, regardless of whether they think they'd be hostile or helpful, it would have to mean we have indeed 'discovered' there are technological non-Human species who can reach us..so yes, most certainly a lie, since he said we won't discover them first...can't be both.

They / he are making assumptions...pretty big ones too. We and they presumably don't know if the 'adults' will show up with the equivalent of a tender smile and a clean hankerchief to wipe our snotty noses, and clean us up...or use weapons to wipe us out..frankly adults who are supposed to be responsible, intelligent and mature, are not really in the habbit of murdering children because...they're behaving like children..so yes, talking out of the proverbial.

Lastly...yes..i don't doubt there are plenty of clandestine projects and research not involving ET or their potential threats, that would indeed worry the hell out of a lot of people when they realised just how precarious our existence actually is.

While I agree to a point with what he's saying I don't agree with his use of absolutes , the chances are an Alien race would not have our best interests at heart but there's always a chance that they could.

You could try reading the account of aliens in Ezekiel, in the holy bible, I like the sentence where he write ' and they ascended to heaven on a pillar of fire' remind you of anything?

Since losing my childhood optimism in my own species and the way we conduct our affairs...i've been hoping this would happen for decades.
