Okay so I tried the super-long avatar with my first entry...

Those long avatars are new for me and I just used Ghost's dimensions (200 x 2000)...I have no idea if this is correct but he/she seems to know their stuff.

Ok, so I have No idea what I am doing here, but I figured I would give it a go. I created this using Publisher and resized via paint. I know it is nowhere near as good as the many talented things I've seen here, but it is what it is.

Nothing great but I made some different sig banners if anyone is interested? I was watching a dumb movie and was bored.

Just because some of us are using fancy software (which makes it a whole lot easier!!) doesn't mean yours isn't good!

What I look for in designs is the creativity and no software in the world can help you with that!

I really like the idea of this design...

It's always the same, wrecking my brain to come up with creative things and then somebody creates something that makes you say: "why didn't I come up with that!!!"

This one made me laugh!

PS: Is that a pattern overlay you used for the fire or did you texture it with bevel/emboss? Makes it look really dynamic...

It's actually just a simple glitter pattern overlay, but I didn't make the original cauldron graphic myself, it's a png file I found on the internet.

I'm not skilled enough to make my own graphics from scratch (wish I was), I usually just take already existing graphics that I've found all over the net and muck around with them using different techniques to try to give them a new look.

Actually, after further pondering, I do like it. Where did you find that first picture you used? I've seen it somewhere, but I can't recall where.

funny you should ask that. i found it on the internet, but how it got there, i'm not sure either.

maybe you saw it in your family album. but what is funny, i thought i've seen it my family album.
