This is absolute madness.

Pakistan is not going to destroy India without destroying itself.

India has bigger nuclear bombs than them aimed at Pakistan

What’s the worst thing about this story is that it’s not in the headlines of major news media as far as I can tell.

No, the headlines in America are about a crazy man running for president and his hatred for an overweight ex- Miss Universe

That’s how far we’ve gone as a species

That's why I say it matters what brand of Islam.

Most of them keep MAD in mind, but there are some sects who think they have to do insane things in order to further their faith, including slaughter 1/3 of the world's population to bring about the Mahdi and the End Times.

Now I haven't heard anything to suggest that's the kind we have running Pakistan, so I don't think we have anything to worry about at present.

It turns out India got the bomb because they were afraid of the Chinese having the bomb and China in turn helped Pakistan get the bomb because Pakistan was afraid of India having the nuclear blackmail weapon over them

And we wonder why aliens are flying all over the place.

The madman who threatened India with nuclear annihilation over this is way out of line, of course

You're welcome.

I'm sorry to say I have more info, and it's bad. Very bad. I subscribe to @DEFCONWS and @DWSIntel on Twitter, and fighting between Pakistan and India has been increasing the past few hours. Here is a summary of their latest tweets:

Pakistan moved 5,000 troops to the LOC
Definition of Line of Control per Wikipedia:

The term Line of Control (LoC) refers to the military control line between the Indian and Pakistani controlled parts of the former princely state of Kashmir and Jammu—a line which, to this day, does not constitute a legally recognized international boundary but is the de facto border.

Wikipedia page abt Line of Control

Ceasefire violation by Pakistan, intermittent firing since 4am local time

Pakistan claimed India violated the cease fire at the Line of Control

As a followup to my earlier post, it has been confirmed that 200,000 people have been evacuated from 1,000 villages because of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India

It's not getting any better, folks. I am concerned that this war will go nuclear if it doesn't end quickly. n

Omg. Thank you for that information. This may sound random, but I would like you to keep me updated on any potential developments.

If Pakistan do this, they're dead too. Simple like that. And that's the reason they won't.

Sooner or later someone is going to think a first strike will do it.A coordinated attack might happen since so many think the end of the world is coming, anyway.North Korea is more likely to use the first nuke than Pakistan or India, but when you throw paranoids and Islam in the mix, though, maybe the Pakistanis might get crazy enough to take a chance of martyring their country.

All it takes is a country that is nuclear to have one man in control of the switch.

Most countries with those weapons have a multiple step process where more than one agent has to sign on to the decision.

Yea, remember how terrorism is worst than it was in the eighties?

Edit: it's not.

I grew up in the 80s.. Yeah it is.

As did I, and no its not.

The only difference Is they are bringing the terrorism to us, instead of leaving it in the Middle-East, they are bringing it home to us now.

Because the damage to our global population and ecosystem would be so great, the U.S. and Russia need to strike Pakistan's launch-points with conventional missiles, if it becomes clear that Pakistan is serious about nuking India. That's a no-brainer.

The US has announced in the past it has contingency plans to secure Pakistans nuclear arsenal should it look like they will use them, or a rogue element takes over.

Im skeptical anything could be done in time, and that the entire arsenal could be secured.

I'll concede to you and say you're right that we've been dangerously close. I'll also go as far to say the Doomsday clock is closer to midnight than it's ever been (short history for that organization).

The clock has been closer, unquestionably.

Able Archer, Suez Canal, Cuban Missile crisis, to name a few.

It will unlikely go nuclear, the elites living in porche palaces in both the countries will never allow it to go that far. The War , assuming it happens will be restricted to limited conflict in and around Kashmir. If it does go nuclear, The economic effect in a country as big as India will result in a massive Domino effect on the already volatile global economy.

There's a big chance of this escalating if one more terror attack happens in India. While terror strikes (from Pakistan based terror units) on Indian military installations in Kashmir is routine, if the next attack results in big casualties of Indian Soldiers or if the attack targets civilians.... then the Indian Government will be forced to strike back.

While Pakistan officially denies the claim of "Surgical Strikes" by Indian Forces across the LOC to target terror camps, the various terror groups have been shooting their mouths off saying that these strikes will be avenged !

The threat of nuking India was issued by the Pakistani Minister before the Indian Forces attacked the terror camps across LOC.
So in a way, his bluff has already been called

it seems tensions are rising further in the area. going full out nuclear over this issue would indeed be a stupid reaction, both sides would loose. i only hope , if this does escalate further, that it doesn't reach the point of no return.

Pakistan to shut Airspace for two weeks

and this posted recently on Defcon Warning System Website

Hopefully both Pakistan and India can see sense, sooner rather than later.
