The fact is this has nothing to do with what the presenter is talking about in the OP, your the one deflecting as usual.

He is not talking about restricting religious freedoms, he's talking about protecting the freedoms of women and homosexuals in western society by studying the fundamental aspects of a religion that promotes intolerance.

I have a question for you; is it tolerant to accept intolerance? This is why the Left won't tackle this subject with the attention it deserves.

You know & understand better than most that an individuals interpretation of what constitutes submission to the will of Allah varies so widely that it cannot be defined. Your idea of submission to the will of Allah is different from the 19 year-old new ISIS recruit.

I am often confused at this argument of the EU being left wing. It is a decidedly right wing organisation. It favours corporations over small business, as seen in it's relentless regulations, it favours ideologically motivated austerity over spending in welfare and other necessary social programs. It really is a huge enemy to the working man in Europe.

It exists to serve the corporations and big banks.

Why the, for the severe want of a better word, "left" support it, and the right view it as a "left wing organisation" is beyond me.

For a supposedly center-right group, it appears to be almost completely opposed by right-wing nationalist groups while being wholly embraced by left-wing globalist groups. Same with Angela Merkels Christian Democratic Union of Germany.

The key there is nationalism as opposed to globalism or internationalism. Like many leftwingers I voted for Brexit. I don't consider Nationalism and Globalism to be Left-right issues. Though it is true that the modern regressive left is in favour of globalism. As are the American Neocons of the Right.

It's economic policies, from the small business destroying regulations to the ideologically motivated austerity enforcement, are right wing. The EU frequently favours the multinationals and investment banks over any other economic interests or the interests of the working class.

One can only guess at the ideology at work behind the forced acceptance of the economic migrants.

Islam is the only religion that hasn't undergone a reformation or enlightenment. It still follows the same tenets that were introduced 1300 years ago.

Yes there are moderate westernized Muslims, I know some personally through school and work and you couldn't pay them to set foot in the Middle East.

But there are still 10 countries in the world where Homosexuality is a capital offense and punishable by death, and if you can't see the problem with opening our doors to mass immigration from these countries your just an idiot.
