Yeah, there's a bit of a rivalry with New York City FC and the New Jersey Red Bulls.

Eh? money in it? blimey so that must be where everyone goes to see a game
I get it now.

College football makes an obscene amount of money, however the athletes get zero. It all goes to the school. If you look at the highest paid public employees in the United States they are all college football coaches making over $5 million a year.

Lol, my twin sister was on the school rounders team.
It seems that US sports are health and safety approved much more than the rest of the world...don't even need to be fit for NFL, just fat and able to run 5 yards so long as you get a five minute break inbetween.

You just keep thinking that.

Are these guys fat and out of shape? Not athletic and worthy of your contempt?

There is a reason some of our best college linemen have been recruited straight out of high school wrestling. It's a similar skill set and requires a similar body build to what you see in these sumo. But don't make the mistake of thinking they are out of shape at all.

The English Rugby Football Union is the sport body and can only drool at the money in college football.
I was shocked when I had a search after my US friend dropped it in conversation.

Yep unhealthy looking body fat percentage in my opinion. Certainly excess stored fat.

Just one Big Ten school's team budget is probably more than the entire rugby league. People go bat s*** for college ball.

Yeah it stops bleeding from broken noses, something an American football player will probably never experience hiding underneath all that armour lol

I can believe it!
Oh and don't ever cuss me with Rugby League again!!
There is rugby union and there is the historical break away bunch of NFL style types who shame the word rugby with their rugby league...pussy's who are too scared to play real rugby.

I'm surprised no one has brought up Cricket yet.

“The bowler approached the wicket at a lope, a trot, and then a run. He suddenly exploded in a flurry of arms and legs, out of which flew a ball.”

Never played or been interested in cricket and it's rules/scoring system of sorcery .
I'm from Wales...never handled a round ball in my childhood.

I think the biggest joke about Cricket is that no one knows how to score, but when playing, no one ever wants to admit it, so the scorekeeper probably just laughs, throws points to whomever. . . and everyone accepts it.

Here's the thing ... that doesn't mean they aren't athletic. And football linemen carry less excess fat than they do although they will bulk up. The thing is that you are ragging on "fat" football players as though every football player is fat. That's not true. The only ones who are going to carry bulk are the linemen, offense and defense, because it's necessary to their jobs and skill sets.

Here's a wide receiver. He isn't carrying extra weight. Neither is the defensive back covering him although the D-back is beefier because he needs to be able to tackle running players, so his build will be more muscular. You won't find a successful wide out carrying extra weight. They need to be fast and extra weight isn't conducive to that.

Similarly, a bunch of linemen built like the wide receiver aren't going to be be very effective on either side of the ball.

Lol you made the assertion so back it up with a link.
Why the # should other members be expected to search links you claim are so easily obtainable?

So, which rugby 'stars' failed in the NFL?
I'm genuinely interested now you've made the claim.
