Just to be on a safe side...I decided to post this just in case it gets "accidentally overlooked" by the liberal media.

It's the norm now.

Gunman kills prominent writer Nahed Hattar outside Amman court where he was facing charges over "offensive" cartoon.

A gunman has shot dead prominent Jordanian writer Nahed Hattar outside a court where he was facing charges for sharing a cartoon deemed offensive to Islam, state news agency Petra reported. Hattar was struck by three bullets before the assailant was arrested on Sunday, Petra said. Witnesses said that a man had opened fire in front of the court in Amman's Abdali district. The 56-year-old Christian was arrested on August 13 after posting a caricature on his Facebook account that depicted a beared man in heaven smoking in bed with women, asking God to bring him wine and cashews.

He was charged with inciting sectarian strife and insulting Islam before being released on bail in early September.

AlJazeera

And in the end...this is probably some lone-wolf/nutt type of thing.

Tried and killed...over a facebook post. God's justice is indeed swift and merciless one.

Peace be upon him.

Why would it be overlooked by the liberal media?

This story has been covered by the New York Times, CBC, HuffPo, ABC, the Guardian, the BBC, the Independent, and plenty of others. Liberal enough for ya?

It's that kink of dismissal that fuels the cave men and there savage religious practices! Unfortunately it's not lone wolfs, but huge parts of there followers that support this kind hatred. Dismissing it other wise is very naive or politically correct. Look at what's happening across the globe, hell we just had a "lone wolf" in NYC!

One can say lone wolf all they want. But a lone wolf still gets it food from the same source as the pack.

You are brainwashed by the islamophobic right wing conspiracy theory believing lunatics.

This is surely an isolated lone wolf attack.

As you well know...wolves hunt in packs...unless they act alone. Therefore...

Because I think they would rather not...if they dont have to. It hurts the cause.
Silly people then start to draw obvious parallels to an entire religion...and we all know that's wrong. A lot of feelings would be hurt.

very poignant and pragmatic statement.

you failed to name the source though... no need to speak in tongues.

all those Lone wolf terrorists happen to be Muslim, or maybe its a case of the other way around. - its hard not to point the commonality in these lone wolves.- but if it was the other way around, surely we'd have 2 billion lone wolves.

but theres no denying facts. and im all about facts.

"God's justice"? Hardly. Just some deluded, delusional, product of a stunted, closed society projecting and acting on sick brain washed ideals. Perfect example of 14 CENTURIES of non-evolution.

Wolves rarely kill humans....

This is why if you want to have the freedom of expressing yourself without fear of persecution, you should live in the U.S.

Oh wait a minute, I forgot about Clinton and Obama throwing a write/producer under the bus for just that so they could have a scapegoat prior to elections.

Did you really just go there ?...oh my ...

You know what i am so against all the wailing on islam as most of it is rubbish, but to insinuate that this guy had it coming for drawing a cartoon (which was actually pretty damn funny) you have rocks in your head and i would go as far as to say you have a bit of radical islam in you

I had my first chance to speak to a Muslim tonight as he repaired my vehicle. The fix cost somewhat more than I was expecting as I relented in having to hear his religious beliefs for at least half an hour after he was finished, leaving me mostly incredibly drained, a little frustrated but still slightly intrigued. He had much to say.

Firstly, this man was as far from a terrorist or angry person as possible. Instead he delighted in his beliefs in God and the works of said God which encompassed pretty much everything. He became excited about his love for him several times and expressed a great joy that was clearly difficult for him to contain. He was clearly a benevolent person with a cheerful smile and beaming eyes. While he identified Muslim, he was Lebanese and described his beliefs as more of a "it's all under one, same god, whether Jewish, Christian, Muslim or Buddhist" type of belief.

While we agreed on several subjects such as 9/11 being a planned/controlled event, the power and corruption of those few in true power that manipulate many things and how hatred is being incited around the world, the majority of the conversation turned back to his God in his awesome powers and some grandiose plan for all the good people of the world. Another belief was that the trees were crying/suffering from latent fallout like Fukashima, the irresponsibility of China regarding pollution and how great the effect was. Again, he was a caring person.

Some things he brought up that were interesting were how strongly mechanics were being taught to install more computers in all the vehicle braking systems to insure less DIY ability and rise costs of replacement(3 meetings about it this year!) and how the corrupt and evil PtB were clearing paths for more to join ISIS even here(US) to increase hatred between people and bring about further conflict.

My being drained and frustrated stems from me having a low tolerance for one-sided religious beliefs and feeling essentially unable to express to him that I was an atheist. While he was a kind and merry man, he exuded that same intense joyous piety one would see in a "Reborn" Christian or cult type; so very firmly entrenched in their beliefs that it was both inappropriate and pointless to say how much I disagreed. I feel that people complain about aggressive atheists without realizing how repressed we still are to this day in many situations and we all know how angry any kind of repression makes people. I still wished him and his family happiness and good things.

Several years ago for the 1st "Everybody draw Muhammad day", I drew a VERY hateful and graphic comic stemming from my fury over the censorship and retaliation artists were seeing. I delighted in posting it and got a few death threats from what I could tell in my Google Translate. The subject is a very raw one for me and the subsequent killings and further events we've seen like this one continue to infuriate me not unlike what one would feel having their puppy or baby snatched from their arms and skinned alive in front of them. I do now and will always support the freedom of expression without censorship or retaliation.

This conversation I had today however, has really impacted what I feel regarding the possibility of those in power purposefully inciting hatred between our groups in order to create a "false" civil war in order to only further those in power's control over us and restrict our liberties in the future. I think it's happening. I think the general public is too dumbed down at this point to notice it. I think it's being forced upon us from all sorts of directions. I've seen videos regarding how fighters on both sides are just doing it either because they were told to or to provide for their families. I know propaganda is strong on both sides and therefore the puppetry is working very, very well. I don't think there's much time before they get what they want either.

Sorry for the long post.

Just to be factual..to which narrative are you referring ? Anti Islamic one ? Nothing has changed. I am anti islam...I am anti most religious practices. Islam is especially a thorn in my side...even more so then the rest of them.

I still can appreciate a good religious story...especially if told from a personal experience.
