No offense taken. I am just very aware of the responsibility given me on this site and want to be perfectly clear how much I respect that responsibility.

I certainly don't give her high marks for her conduct, please let me be clear. I think I have more sympathy than the majority here, but probably not a great deal more.

I'm afraid I have zero sympathy for her at this point. That feeling is based on her conduct in the video; if she were to exhibit a less stoic stance with some respect for her fellow humans, perhaps I could soften my stance toward her. Realizing the improbability of that happening, I do require that she soften her stance first.

I tend to agree, but I tend also to think the answer is for people to become more inclined to compromise and more able to divorce their hot-headed selves from the debates they find themselves in. I consider the ability to remain calm and generally polite while having words with someone who has a seemingly intractable position opposed to yours a fundamental life skill.

That is an honorable position to take, but my own personal experience with similar attitudes tells me it is also a futile position.

The beginning of any profitable discussion is to find common ground, no matter how small. Diametrical opposition cannot be discussed profitably; it has to be humanized to some degree. In order to find common ground, both parties have to have at least simple human respect for each other. Without that, even their common humanity is not realized.

You and I have a partial agreement that she was in the wrong. We can build on that. From your point, it can be argued that his response was excessive; from my point, it can be argued that she may have antagonized him in the past, leading to the confrontation. But we both agree she was in the wrong.

Judging from her tirade, both before the officer spoke to her and during that conversation, I saw no indication she was even willing to admit she shouldn't have shot the finger at him. What compromise can be made with someone who refuses to even admit the possibility that showing a modicum of respect for another human is proper?

None.

I believe that is the jist of the other posters siding against her in this thread: her continual refusal, even in the face of legal authority, to accept any responsibility for her actions. That mindset IMO makes her something less than human. An animal cannot be blamed for succumbing to their base desires, i.e. self-desire over empathy for others, but humans are held to a higher standard. She shows no concern for any standard other than an animalistic self-indulgence.

What would happen to society without that standard? It would disappear. Just as in the wild, right and wrong would be determined by the will of the stronger, be that strength manifested through physical strength, cunning, or gangster-type mob rule. Law and order are incompatible with such arrangements. Indeed, law and order fights gang activities every day in the cities... and what is the difference between this woman and her followers targeting the man and someone targeted by a gang? The gang may use more direct physicality, but a life may be ruined unjustly either way.

My apologies for butting in...

I do require that she soften her stance first.

I just wanted to point out sometimes when people lie or back themselves into a corner like this woman has they will not be able to see a way out and will burrow down and just keep on digging.....

What i mean is sometimes it be beneficial to just let it go, let her crawl out of that dark space and move on...

A fair point, but I have no intention of backing her into a corner. And I will give as she does, even if it's a little at a time. But then again, we're not concerned with what I as a person would do anyway. My use of the word 'I' simply indicated my personal feelings if I were in her victim's position.

Her problem is the guy she harassed (yes, that is called harassment in Alabama). It is now his decision whether or not to let her slink away into a corner somewhere. It's called "picking your fights."

To be honest, based on the reports I have read in this thread (I don't do the twitter-thingy, sorry) she has cornered herself. If she did slander him online and he can show any reasonable damages (mental anguish?), then a decent lawyer can turn her world into crap. It is illegal to maliciously make false or misleading statements publicly against someone. He could get a restraint order against her keeping her from driving in front of his house, substantial financial damages, and if she can be caught vandalizing or threatening him, he can press criminal charges. That's not what I intend to happen, or even want to happen. It's what the law says can happen.

I would wonder, though, were I confronted with such a decision, what her action toward me would be if the situation were reversed...

The woman is clearly a totally obnoxious flake. That said, it's really bad form to chase someone down in your car because they gave you the finger. Very bad form. I'm surprised the cop didn't seem to have more to say to the guy who did that.

The cop told her he told the guy he should not have chased her. In her video she says he came got her licence and has been talking to the guy for like 15 mins. I am sure the cop talked to the guy about following her, we don't know that, because all we have is her word.

She absolutely harassed the guy and sadly for her once she had been called out she just kept going with it......i would think she has some fairly significant mental health issues...

At this point she is the target of a magnitude of Trump supporters, apparently according to her in a vid in this thread she is getting everything from death threats on social media to bad reviews on Amazon for a book of hers...she is certainly paying the price for her stupidity...

At first i was laughing along with everyone else but as this fiasco is developing i can see it ending badly and we have seen from her own admission she will not be the bigger person and let it go...so its on the rest of us now to keep this going or just let it go...personally i am for letting it go before someone else like her child gets drawn into this or someone gets seriously hurt....

I agree, it would be great if people just let it go. I am dismayed by the death threats especially. But she has to let it go as well. It is foolish to expect one to drop their guard when under direct attack (and stupid to be the one to do so).

I wish this woman no ill will, and certainly wish none to her child. It's not a good thing to see someone in this state, but it is becoming a far-too-common thing. Unfortunately, she chose twitter as a platform, and from what my kids tell me, it is not exactly a friendly place.

That's why I use ATS.

I simply can't ignore the irony of the very platform she chose in an attempt to harm others becoming the platform that does the same to her. I don't revel in that fact, but I do recognize the irony.

I dont do twitter either, in fact ats is the only form of social media i use...and that's likely why i am here so often

She had pursued forming this #teamtara gang on Twitter to extend her reach to harrass this man. So she has multipied her mistakes and stepped into cyber bullying. This too is evident on her Twitter account and is freely seen by everyone, just like in her videos. She had linked to personal information on him, some kind of hit piece possibly done by a #teamtara gangsta. So she invites others against him. She is in big trouble. Huge trouble now. All over a yard sign. I'm sure she's traumatized her kid over this too. Watch her meltdown on Twitter soon as she complains she is being sued. Someone did seriously get hurt, that guy, who I think makes money selling juicing products. She may have affected his income and business. She's in seriously deep for all this.

Read this link to a hit piece on the man and tell me she isn't trying to smear him with this slanderous article on this site which delves deep into his personal life. She didn't have to share this slanderous gossip on him, but she did, and the court will take that into account.

Source

Still think she's not cyber bullying. Well, her latest tweet show her enlisting actor George Takai, of Star trek fame, to help her fight against the bad anti-Hillary people.

Source

She's actively trying to extend her harassment reach with this gang of #teamtara to others including high profile people she hopes will be sympathetic to her due to their being part of the LGBT friends talked about in her last video. A group she hopes she can leverage for her own selfish means it seems. In her book on Amazon she had endorsements by Cameron Crowe and Patton Oswalt. So she is trying to leverage her business contacts in the entertainment industry to help her harass this man. Now her business contacts will see her original video and she will have made herself look like a fool to her much needed freelancing voice work business contacts. All of her own doing. The kicker is the goonish muscle arm emoticon she uses next to her #teamtara text. Her cyber bullying team tara. Guess the muscle arm is appropriate after all.

Additional people she's reaching out to via the gang of #teamtara.

Tara already enlisted the FBI Cyber Crimes division to help her, so why is she asking for help win being doxxed from these people who can't help her in that way?

I appreciate you pointing all that out and as i said she is likely mentally ill....she is in a world of pain right now and yes it is all self inflicted, however she may not be able to see how detrimental this whole charade is...

The reason i talk of letting it go is because it has blown way out of proportion and there us little justification in anyone else being dragged into this mud pit

This whole fiasco is not entirely driven by her...we have people who want to get involved and somehow it has become a trump/hillary battle....

The reality is if people had better things to do in life they would be doing it...yet here we are with people choosing sides buckling down and jumping on the bandwagon....as stupid as this woman is the people that are joining the cause are just as screwed up as she is ....

I don't wish ill will on her. I have said I hope she gets support/help from friends and family to address her anger over this so she doesn't put herself in harm or legal jeopardy. We're not hearing from the man she is targeting. I bet there is plenty coming at him over this too, but he's not broadcasting minute by minute tweets like her or creating a Twitter team or contacting celebs online to his cause.

She's escalated this to a higher level by trying to turn this into a celebrity cause. Will she ever stop before she gets herself in too deep?

A bad situation not of his own making but of hers. She didn't have to post videos and tweets about this personal situation, he hasn't. So whatever is bad is due to her. the simple fact is she hurled abuse toward this person and he wanted to identify her. he complied with what the officer, who intervened said, but she didn't comply. No, instead she went after the officer too and if you read the tweet from her below. She wants to harass him too and make him take sensitivity training. Is she bipolar? She is "going to the station tomorrow to eff his crap up". Calmly. How is effing someones crap up calm!?

Further evidence is this hashtag #Chasedbyaracist. So she assumes that the guy is racist because he supports Trump. That is slanderous on her part.

She's put herself in legal jeopardy. Can someone in her family help her to stabilize and stop hurling herself into legal harms way?

Not satisfied with #teamtara. She's move it up a notch to #avengetara! Really, now it is blatant she wants to be avenged. For what? She is egging people on to avenge her and that is a proactive aggression and the courts will not like her actions.

Source

The @joss she contacted is famed Director Joss Wheadon, who filmed the "Avengers" for Disney/Marvel. See what she is doing. Turning this into a bigger deal to promote her revenge. Shocking. If he was doing this to her it'd be off the charts in the news.

Her own dirty tricks actions will be her undoing.

1. That's absurd and redneck.
2. Because if you leave your home and follow me to my home, I'm going to kill you with guns.

I find these two ironic in their juxtaposition.

Morons who disagree that's what would happen. He's seriously lucky he didn't get shot or sent to jail.

If you hypothetically shouted at someone driving by you, and then you entered your car and followed them to their home/whereever, and then you were shot, that seems obviously deserved to me.

So by your own very twisted logic, the man should have pulled out a gun and unloaded a clip into her car, as that would have been more socially acceptable... and you have the nerve to call a guy who decided to follow the person harassing him a redneck moron??? Please go look in the mirror.

I don't think this was her first time incident. The cop knows it, too, but she cut that part out of her video.

Why do you think this? Is it a special feeling? You literally all say this and no one comes up with any evidence other than stupid speculation from the first video. #ing prove it or that's as baseless as the last 10 times it was said.

no less baseless than your speculation of what the mans intent was once he got her to stop. You assume you know what he wanted to do or say to her, based on your own fear, and yet you have no evidence to back it up other than that. I've read at least one report where HE called the cops as he was following her, in an attempt to give them her current location, while at the same time she flagged down an officer... meaning maybe there was other reasons he was following her other than just wanting to "Beat Her Ass". It would also go a long way to explain why the officer was talking to him for seemingly 15 minutes (using what she claimed in the video as we don't know how long the officer ACTUALLY talked to the guy) and yet never cited him for any of the supposed criminal actions you guys claim he performed.

OK, I have tried to look at this story as evidence that she just had a minor breakdown... but then I actually followed one of your links to twitter.

You owe me big time for doing that to my poor brain and eyes.

The guy definitely needs an attorney. I saw within a handful of posts enough evidence of slander to justify her losing everything she ever thought about having, and quite possibly enough to have her sitting in a jail cell. This is now far beyond mental issues or that Social Justice Warrior syndrome; she has openly advertised baseless accusations of criminal activity and attacked his business with pure speculation.

This woman is a cyber-bully and a criminal. She needs to be taken off the streets as soon as possible for her safety and the safety of others. Her child needs to be placed in a better situation as well, for its own well-being.

After reading ththe pure filth coming from her fingers, I believe her target is a saint. I am pretty sure I would not have his self-control in the same situation.
