F-35 roll out in Japan Today., page 1

Yes the japanese version has officially rolled out in japan today. I caught a few minutes of it on youtube this morning but i didnt stay long. But if anyone is interested i am sure there will be some links to the news shortly. In the mean time thoughts? comments?

Could the Chinese detect the aircraft sitting on the tarmac rendering it's stealth tech obsolete?

No, the rollout was in Fort Worth. The first Japanese aircraft won't roll out until next year. It will be the fifth airframe for Japan and is designated AX-5.

AX-1 through 4 will be built in Fort Worth, and go straight to Luke for pilot and maintenance training. The first pilots will be there next month to start training.
