Its from Al Jazeera. I give it no validity.

However, hypothetically speaking, if it were true, such an act would indeed be seen as justifiable grounds for a declaration of war. The US has not submitted to the International Criminal Court and would not view any US citizen as being subject to its jurisdiction. Considering that Rumsfeld is a senior member of the US government, the impact of such an act would be greatly magnified and so would the consequences.

Lets get something straight Osma Ben-Laden did not master mind 9/11 it was done by members of the American government. Did Ben-Laden get NORAD to stand down, did Ben-Laden order the jets that where scrambled to fly under speeds so not to make contact, did Ben-Laden make billions in (Put Options) on the airlines involved, Ben-Laden was the fall guy. Ben-Laden has never said he did it. I suggest you people who believe the government lies do some research on who was really involved.
In addition, there is no War there is Terrorist actions’ happening in Iraq and Afghanistan, courtesy of the Bush / Oil Cable. It’s know wonder why the world has the opinion they have about American’s sadly painting them all with the same brush because of the bigoted loudmouths who spew the government line, it’s sickening.
The whole Bush Administration should be hung. How many tanks of gas does America get for one dead soldier, you Bu#s are pathetic.

Proof?

And I want something resembling a credible source.

Well is nothing wrong for other countries to tell the bush administration that they are not beyond the law, actually I am surprised that a man like Rumsfeld is still in his positon with all the scandal of the Abu ghraib behind him.

I will Remind you that It's not US "Bush" of the world, we are just another country in "the world."

Marg it’s sad that American soldiers are being imprisoned for there actions, while the people at the top get off scott-free, As Bush has said his Administration has nothing to be held accountable for, apparently his soldiers do.

Sauron, as you know my husband is a retired Marine, he is very upset about the soldiers that are accountable for the abu ghraib scandal.

He said that even when they performed the acts, they were following orders never less.

He also feels that is some unfairness to the issue, while the lower ranks in the case are to paid for those actions the higher ranks get to walk free with not fault.

If the lower ranks are to be guilty also the ones that gave the orders should accountable also.

But remember Rumsfeld, Condi and the Generals all involved in this mess will never see a day in court.

I agree with you completely, the United States and the Bush administration should not be 'above the law', so to speak. And other countries have every right to voice their displeasure with the situation. But that's not really the issue and it does not mean that they have a basis to act upon it.

The simple fact that the US has not submitted to the ICC. As such, the US will not view itself nor its citizens subject to it. The US has the right as a sovereign country to determine what treaties and agreements it will or will not enter into. Subjecting the US and its citizens to the ICC when it has not agreed to be a part of it can easily be construed by the United States as an act of war against it.

Al Jazeera sucks! Some American, who claims, wines and carry on about what if? Take your what ifs and mail it to the fire place. Live for now, deal with the future as it comes.
Rumsfeld being arrested for war crimes. This is a laugh a mile per minute, Germany had their little fingers in the mess during the sanction. By my ancesters who left Germany gave me the right to say, Germany go to hell. The way you have treated my family in the past was no excuse you bias mother. take the homeland and shove it, we don't care no more. Any other country want to open their mouths, go for it. Other government says this is look upon this old salt as a unfriendly, and treat us like we have mad cow disease. Oh, it is a little to late for Bin to say he did not have his followers to crash the Twin Towers. He admitt to it, he should pay dearly...I have my reasons..................................................!!!!!!!

illegal invasion of Afghanistan and and Iraq?

Not to rehash the situation because obviously you
don't care, but UBL was the mastermind of the 9/11
attacks. He, and his army, had free reign in
Afghanistan. Their training camps were there...
the fighters were there ... etc. etc.

We do not need to ask permission to attack those
who have declared war upon us and who had
already attacked us. DUH.

I wan't aware that Iraq had attacked us...it was Osama!!!!!!!!!

The writer said AFGHANISTAN was 'illegal'. I was discussing
Afghanistan first. Take one part of this War on Terror at a time.
I'm using small steps so the person can (hopefully) understand.

Again ... anyone who calls war 'illegal' doesn't get it. War is war.
UBL didn't have to ask permission from anyone to start a war with
us. Germany didn't have to ask permission from anyone to start
a war against all those other countries in WWII. Neither did Japan.
France didn't have to ask permission to go to war and defend itself
in WWII. England didn't have to ask permission to go to war to
defend itself in WWII either. AMERICA has absolutely no need to ask
anyone's permission to go to war ... ever. NO ONE DOES. It isn't
a court action ... it's just war. It happens. There isn't some big
world court where countries go to have men on a bench in powdered
wigs decide if war is appropriate or not. That's beyond silly.
There is no such thing as a legal or illegal war. War is just war.

Rumsfeld made it known immediately after the complaint was filed that he would not attend the Munich conference unless Germany quashed the legal action.

This is a far cry from not entering the country for fear of arrest. Rumsfield is in absolutely no danger of beign arrested by the german authorities.

That would be something if the European Union declared war on America to stop it's tyranny.

Exactly what kind of idiot thinks a US EU war would be a good thing?

Rummy was once on the board of ABB, a very large German company. If he is of the "elite" so many worry about on this site such a thing could never happen. It wouldn't suprise me some of the lunies there might try.

Like I said, all of Germany would be one big hole if they laid a hand on him.

Yeah, except that Germany didn't initiate the actions, now did they?:shk: They are merely being used as a pawn because of their laws, which exist because of their own horrific activities in the past.

But, just keep on cheering if it makes you feel good.

godamit, i love it when people speak da troof.

Maybe they arrest people without legal cause in Germany, I don't know. But I seriously doubt it.

ehm we have the same legal, juristical principles then most other democratic, free countries. you can't be arrested without a reason, and you're guilty if it's proven in court.

unless you have brown skin !

They were probably very happy to see you go.

Now you have to understand that Germany host about 70 thousand US troops and if relationships between US and Germany get sour, perhaps they will not host US troops any more.

That would only be great for the US, and bad for Germany's economy. I doubt very seriously that Germany would want to see that happen.... Such a pullout would provide more troops to go into Iran, and totally kill many local German economies... Not that I want to see it, but from the US administration standpoint, it would easily get the US out of the troop committment in Germany...

Besides the US administration has already announced that it is beginning to pull its troops out of germany.
