This is crazy.
Had anyone other than someone with a (D) beside their name said they could "talk to white people about it" it would be a national catastrophe. Rev Al, Jessie, Prof West would all gather with the MSM in tow to ensure the offender would be publicly shamed and made to be unemployable. The level of hypocrisy is astounding.

We have a NATIONAL problem with police TRAINING in this country. Until police are properly trained this problem will not go away, no matter how many times hillary talks to white people about it.

Perhaps trump will go talk to black people about the homicide problem in chicago, cause we all know that will work.

When people start following Donald Trump's lead on this then real dialogue can begin.

Honestly, I can't watch videos at this moment and I'd like to have your opinion on the issue, not a Trump fanboy endorsement.

Trump and his cult followers are a good example of those that need a smack across the face to get them to wake the hell up.

Trump just nailed the exact response required, like no other politician or activist ever has.
When you can watch the video, do so. It might wake you the hell up.

It's simple, logical and non divisive.

Ok, I was able to listen to it and you must be joking.

All he said was he gets endorsements from law enforcement, the officer in Tulsa choked and they "shouldn't be doing what they are doing".

Little to no substance whatsoever.

Lol, that's not only what he said, but I can understand why it would be uncomfortable for some to have Trump be the man to offer sense on this subject. After all the demonising, it must be hard to come to the realisation that it is actually Clinton who is the divisive candidate.

Let's see what she has to say to white people in order to solve the issue.

are you white?

If so, what words could be said to you that might fix the problems BLM is facing?

Well, it's not BLM that has a problem. It's the black communities that believe there is a problem and want their grievances to be heard.

It appears to be white people, in general, that stick their fingers in their ears and don't want to engage in the conversation because it may require admitting there is an uncomfortable problem that needs addressing.

We need to have a collective smack across the face to occur so that we can begin the conversation.

I don't agree at all. "white people" are not able to do anything to enact change in this particular situation. I'll likely be called a racists for stating this, but # it.

There are two main issues here. First is the Thin Blue line. The wall that makes it difficult if not impossible for police to clean their own house due to longevity, nepotism, political ties, whatever, general corruption.

The second is within the Black community as a whole. The Family values (of lack there of) coupled with the disdain for the law, love of drugs, lack of respect for life in general, misconception that education and not being a gang banger is being "an uncle Tom", trying to place blame for bad things everywhere other than where it belongs, and thinking that all white folk are against them is a huge (see also Yuge) issue.

So you have a group of people who are predisposed to be aggressive towards cops, and you have cops who have some among the ranks that are racist assholes. Amazingly enough, there is tension when the two meet.

I am not naive enough to think that black people are treated 100% fair by cops in the ghetto. I know different from first hand sources I trust. But I also know that not breaking the law, offers an amazing chance not to be arrested. Complying with police commands offers a lovely chance not to be shot. Saving the "I pay your salary" argument for court rather than the street during a stop is a bit more prudent.

So it seems the average white person can do exactly Jack # about this, aside from joining the Police force or going to the Ghetto and trying to explain the real problem to the people there.

What solutions did he provide in that speech? Like I said, he didn't say anything of substance. Please point it out for me.

After all the demonising, it must be hard to come to the realisation that it is actually Clinton who is the divisive candidate.

Judging by your assessment of that Trump video, it's obvious you are not in a position to make that call.

That's because it is an agenda. Which is why those trying to bridge the gap to fight this division are one the ones labelled as sticking their fingers in their ears.

Unity and working together as one unit is the last thing they want. If we did that we might actually be able to accomplish something for our benefit.

Exactly right. Sooner or later the finger pointing has to stop, however their are those that don't want it to stop. Race divisions are beneficial to some people in power, namely Clinton and the democrats. The moment they lose a significant proportion of the minority vote, their party is finished. It therefore would make sense that they want the police narrative to be about white vs black, when it is nothing of the sort.

A more measured dialogue is needed whereby the actual issue is identified - that is people in the police force who are not qualified to be doing the job they are doing. Standards and training need to be transparent and effective and those that don't make the grade are never put in situations where they can pull the trigger on a suspect who does not pose an immediate threat.

Hillary is white. Her husband is white. Both have held extremely high positions of power.

If those two whities couldn't do anything, then who exactly is she going to talk too? They were both at different times the most powerful white people in North America.

What could they have done just by themselves? We do not live in a dictatorship.

Maybe it's what they DID do that is part of the problem... like the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act. Seems like they must have spoken to white people then too, or least only listened to white people.

Check the lyrics of the hymn.

You'll find she's quoting them.

I see that OP didn't bother to provide Clinton's actual quote in context ...

And so maybe I can, by speaking directly to white people, say, look, this is not who we are. We’ve got to do everything possible to improve policing, to go right at implicit bias. There are good, honorable, cool-headed police officers. We have seen them in action in New York over the last 48 hours because of the terrorist attacks. We can do better. We have got to rein in what is absolutely inexplicable. And we have got to have law enforcement respect communities and communities respect law enforcement because they have to work together.

Emphasis mine.

Perhaps he'll increase our police forces from 765,000 sworn officers to 500,000!

Hey, it would mirror his plan for the Air Force!

In context with........?

She intends to speak directly to white people. Her words.

When she loses the election perhaps she can have a career as the "white people whisperer", as only she can speak directly to them.

The context is that she is going to speak to white people to solve the problems she thinks there are.
Everyone knows that there are good honourable police officers. But the problem that does exist, as she sees it, means she has to somehow broker a conversation with white people.

I am still waiting to see which white people she is going to talk to... and what she will say to them.

By the way, I provided two separate links already in this thread, one from the left wing propaganda rag Huffpost, which has the full text. Perhaps you missed it.
