The Skittles analogy fails because all asylum seekers are vetted before being accepted into the country as formal refugees.

This is like testing each individual Skittle for poison before eating any of them.

Trump Jr. has no idea what he's talking about.

That's how it's suppose to work but when you read about 800+ "accidentally" released you kind of wonder how many more they have "accidentally" let through because they vetted them so well?

So it was offensive and racist but made a good point, why take chances on letting in a bag full of good ones, there's bound to be rotten one or two. It only takes one rotten skittle to kill thousands of people with one bomb, or in some cases a few bombs.

Allowing terrorists (who hate your guts) a chance to infiltrate your country by way of posing as a refugee is plain stupidity. It doesn't matter if there's some good ones and I know some myself who are wonderful people.

It's just better to be safe than sorry. The nice guy finishes last in this world. This politically correct business needs to stop if you want to stay safe. They have a bad reputation and unfortunately should be judged under one label. It's a label they created. That's just how it works. People are judged by the company they keep.

I'd like to see one of those trustworthy polls ran on who is more trustworthy Syrians or Danish.

I think I know the results on that score

Find other ways to help them out

Sounds like they are trying to save as many innocent Syrian lives as they can. I for one am brave enough to go along with that plan. Saving lives it's what real Americans are best at.

Obama wants to open America's arms to AT LEAST 10,000 Syrian refugees before September 30th. So far, we're up to 9,000 or so. He wants to allow 85,000 this year from several countries.

Story: www.washingtontimes.com...

Hillary wants to EXPAND Obama's Syrian refugee open door policy by 550%.

Where is the confusion?

If a bag of skittles has 10 poisonous..skittles, would you still take the bag

Same with refugee's

If 10000 Syrian refugees have 100 ISIS members, would you still take the refugee's ?

Should i explain it again ?

It's not the same. No one would take a bag with poison skittles. But these are not skittles we are talking about , they are human lives. Here is a better analogy. If you have 10 children and 1 of them is a terrorist, would you let all 10 children die or would you try and save them?

People aren't skittles.
It is nothing more than an over simplified analogy for people to look at say how simple it is.

Problem is it is simple people choose to make it complicated. If I had a 1000 skittles and told you 100 is poisoned and it will kill you instantly. I'd bet you pass on rating a skittles. Why self preservation and frankly it's easier to just avoid it than take the risk. With the refugees if if I have a thousand Syrian refuges and I told you 100 were going to try to kill you. Your would probably try to avoid them. By the way with Isis being in control and can issue visas that number I'd probably alot higher than what 19 percent.

I personally don't think we should allow anyone in from countries that are controlled by Isis. But of we decide to take a risk for humanitarian means that at thr very least we should make sure they don't have connections to Isis. Even the kings on europe were smart enough to have taste testers. At least they tried to avoid poisoned skittles.

For crying out loud Pepe is not a neo-nazi meme. Otherwise, we need to ask Niki Minaj and Katy Perry if they are white supremacists for using it long before it became associated with Trump.

Deny ignorance, and stopped being fooled by Rachel Maddow's forced narrative.

Is that what you would tell the relatives of innocent civilians across Europe who've been molested, raped, stabbed and murdered by a portion of these refugees?

And it's interesting you suggest saving the lives of non-citizens in more important than saving and protecting the lives of US citizens. I take it you also think a real father puts the lives of others ahead of his own children.

So you're brave enough to risk the safety of your children. Cool. Bravo.

the terrorists in san bernadino were "vetted"

we all know what happened there. maybe there isnt poison in the skittles... maybe theres a virus. or shards of metal or pins and needles.

there will be bad apples allowed in. you cant catch em all. but you better damned try as hard as you can.

I was just going to post this you beat me to it.

Here in Canada there's been no problems and the "Skittles" were very grateful for our Canadian hospitality.

I've been closely watching Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton's reaction and response to the weekend's events.

Donald Trump would in so many ways, let the terrorists win, and ruin the United States.

Racial profiling?

Trump could have handled this in a way that was Presidential, but he went straight for the fear and loathing card.

Here in Canada, we are proud for having received some of the Syrian Refugees, but I knew at the time that the US would have a hard time accepting any.

Now they are considered bad skittles by Bush Jr. Like father like son.

The Trump campaign is starting to make me very nervous for our friends and neighbors. At stake is the very thing that made America great to begin with.

Is that you Trudeau? You are right, these Syrian "refugees" are great people. Why not take them all? I mean, it seems xenophobic to take some and not others. In fact, I did a thread about Canada and their praising of how great immigrants are.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

They are such great people, just take them all. Think of how much better your life will be!. In fact, open your personal home to them and be even more greatly blessed. Show us Xenophobes and racist just how big of a heart you have!

So you are saying the purple skittles will radicalize the red ones and there will be more poison skittles?

Coz that's what people do.

His post was great. It's a good comparison and a good question.

Thankfully my country of origin realizes this. So proud.

It's no more apt than saying the same thing about a group of white people and one being a potential murder.

changing tact from posting memes from neo-nazis, the donalds idiot son has decided to post what looks like an official poster comparing syrians to skittles.
'if i told you three skittles were poisoned would you take a handful?' being the puzzling question posed, followed by,
'thats our syrian refugee problem'.
nice to compare people fleeing a war torn country to sweeties and poison, his dad must be proud.
but,
is this in reaction to the somali guy who got stabby and shot?
or maybe the afghan who went mythbusters using pressure cookers to blow up, nothing?
what about the kid from new york?
so,
what's his problem with syrians?
america have taken around 3'000 syrian refugees, hardly a huge number.

thus far no skittles have been offended.

Ha...the stupid liberal outcry over this from the side that called half of actual American citizens voting for Trump a basket of deplorables....irony at its best.

I think it's just a cover for unapologetic racism and xenophobia intended to play on people's fears.

There's no indication that ISIS fighters and sympathizers are among the refugees and they have been and are well vetted.

It's just nonsense, and there's no basis in reason or logic to support the idea that in every handful of refugees are hidden terrorists.

It's just hyperbole and demagoguery, mixed with white American nationalism and racism, and a healthy dose of irrational fear.

Here in Canada, we've welcomed 30,647 refugees since November of last year.

www.cic.gc.ca...

The population of Canada is 35 million.

And I don't think we've had a single bad skittle yet.

These are refugees who's fled from ISIS. They are real people, not skittles.

You can't let a man with a knife or a few pressure cookers alter the nature of the American heart and soul, and start talking about racial profiling in the streets of America and the suspension of habeas corpus.

Imagine that you're an American Muslim who accidentally gives a donation to an organization that's found to have a fringe terrorist element in it, when all you're doing is trying to be helpful to your community, and then you end up tortured in Guantanamo Bay for providing material support to terrorism. That kind of thing could happen under a Trump Presidency.

Think twice before you buy into all the hype from the likes of Donald Trump and his sons. It's disgraceful, and it's un-American.

What do you know, you're canadian.

Canada is not on the terrorists radar anyway. Why should they go there?

Nothing significant to blow up, is my guess.

Take them all, be our guest.
