Love the surrealists too. I think there's a free pdf copy of André Breton's Nadja on line. It's a fun read, maybe it may inspire you.

Lots of styles or schools to choose from, I also love the German Expressionists specially Max Beckmann's triptychs. But my favorite painter is Paul
Klee, he was a great visual alchemist.

I am particularly fond of your depiction of the human face, especially curious positioning of the eyes.
You can make up your own rules that's the fun of it.
After seeing these, it's a shame to think about the lost ones.
The floods forced me to learn what's important to me. After family, my book collection, my pc, and my mountain bike. Everything else is fourth.
I can still attempt to reproduce some of the lost ones or even better, make new ones.
