No need to bring rationality into this.

The criteria seems to be whether you can rub one out or not.

As long as the teacher is actually teaching, then she can wear a G-string and pasties for all I care.

I know male attendance would go up!

Indeed. Apparently she is wrong for having curves. Shame on her. /SarcasmEnd

Seriously people. Everyone keeps throwing around appropriate, like everyone has the same OPINION of what is appropriate, or not. Its a SUBJECTIVE word. Bottom line is: she didnt violate dress code, which is what matters, not your opinions. End of story.

Sorry, but no way is that outfit appropriate for a fourth grade teacher. Period. The point of being a teacher isn't to be the "sexiest alive".
The fact that she's wearing it, the fact that someone snapped the pic and posted it to social media and the fact that it's even up for debate - says everything anyone needs to know about the state of education in the U.S. R.I.P.

And another thing:
Everyone keeps saying 'its about the kids!' like they actually care. Quit pretending. If you really cared about the wellbeing of the kids, you would be advocating for teaching kids self control, instead of against a damn dress.

'but adolescence!!! Hormones!!!' still not a valid excuse. My youngest is 6, and my oldest is 12. Both have self control. Both are males. Neither would be incapabke of being taught by this lady, in that dress. Because i taught them self control.

I agree whole heartedly.

Not just self-control, either, but we should all be taught how to respect other people's bodies.

Everyone has a body, they come in all different shapes and sizes... as seen in this thread, lol. And however people choose to clothe their own bodies... it doesn't hurt us directly so it shouldn't be a problem. And it isn't a problem to me. Children should be able to look at the human body with this same respect. They come in all different shapes and sizes. And it shouldn't be a big deal that we have curves... cause if kids think that having curves is a big deal and that it's inappropriate, what happens to all the little girls that grow up and suddenly find themselves with curves? And what happens when the little boys grow up and look at women wearing shorts?

Curves and legs are normal and shouldn't be shamed from the get go.

Wow, ......After reading 13 pages, Im wondering if anyone has tried to research the "Context" of the picture.

She is an attractive young woman, but seriously, does she really teach in class with her going out outfit and High Heel fashion shoes? For 6-8 hours per day of standing up?
As the lights are fully on, and she is standing in a "Well here is my class" type pose, and proud of it. Im wondering if this is not an after school type of function, maybe a parent teacher night or teacher staff school function, without students, and she has dressed for the occasion.?
Is there any actual statement from the teacher that she says, Yes this is how I dress for my students?.
I dont know, but she looks like she is showing someone around her class (afterschool) and is proud of where she teaches....to me anyway.....and someone has taken the photo, and it has been blown out of proportion.

This is getting as bad a an article I read today of a group of Yale students, suspended for wearing Sombreros.....to a tequila party, Or a famous fashion designer criticised for having his "White" models wear coloured dreadlocks, because it insults Black Africans?????

Im sorry, but the Human World is getting insane now.......as in Stupid Insane.

And for the Women reading this.....Yes young teenage men DO get instant erections at the merest thought of Girls......its natural, its been for ever, it will always be.
You think that's bad, research "Wet Dreams" that ALL young boys experience...........Spontaneous Ejaculation from dreams....

I definatly agree.

People try to use the excuse of 'it draws attention away from the lessons', but again that goes back to teaching our children self control. Its not really that hard.

Can anyone illustrate how her choosing her particular attire directly harms another person, without citing the excuse i mentioned above?

There is actually an answer to this you may not like if you look at it from a schoolboys point of view.

Some of the guys may back me up here, but if not. Everyone can call me a pig etc. etc.
But I can only be honest so apologies if it offends.

The money shot for schoolboys is when the teacher leans over your desk to look at a problem.
Who's got the hardest top to look down out of the churchgoers and the teacher?

"I have alot to get done, real important stuff me and mom need to get done."

"god damn it, here is 5 dollars, go away"
and you, "here is a gallon of milk with a teet on it, go away"

She met with her superiors about her sexual attire.

If she still has her job, its because she toned down how she dresses.

lub? people dress like she does to go to CHURCH. try again

It really does depend on your region and culture. I know a wonderful lady that just happens to be a Latina. She is the wife of a local pastor. She has the same body type as the teacher being discussed, and she very much dresses the same way, shoes and all. And yes even to church.

I have seen young women in church, even in line to receive Communion, and butt cheeks are showing with every step they make.

Modesty is a word that has been dropped from our societal dictionary.

It is more about doing what you want, when you want, and as long as it makes you feel good, anyone else be damned. You know how it goes. Haters gonna hate.

You're right, and furthermore people are acting like the kids have sex on their minds. When they don't. WTF PEOPLE. When YOU look at that teacher you might have some naughty sexual thoughts but I promise... her kids aren't. lol. SRSLY WTF. Kids just see the different shaped bodies and think it's normal until they're taught otherwise (I suspect anyway). And it's the teaching otherwise that's doing all the damage, really.
