I was unaware you could manipulate that. Perhaps they will have to be digital selfies after all. At least then you can tell if the image has been tampered, right?

It would be easier to give a receipt with votes. When ballots are secret, cameras are not allow in the poll place. Even if secrecy is lowered (special voter id number, not SSN), people wouldn't want the chance of being photographed while voting (might show ballot).

I like the receipt idea. Special printers/paper/ink too.

If you are taking one of those photos you don't care if people know who you vote for, right?
And you have to make sure you aren't photo-ing other people who do care. When I voted I was in a curtain-ed booth anyway...

Ok. So, how do you know it was your ballot that was tampered with? How does taking a picture prove it was your ballot?

In this corrupted world, there will always be a way to tamper the results even manually. It is frustrating and self-defeating to realize that our votes don't really seem to matter. Our representatives that we elect in the local, state, congress and senate seats are the ones we really have to focus on if you want your future votes for President count!

I am ashamed to admit that I did not realize this sooner and knowing that I am not alone, only frustrates me more and increases the shame.

There is no VOTER fraud.
There is VOTING fraud.

If it ain't the voters, there aren't many villains left to chose from.

Your idea will not work. It'll register the vote, and if they want to rig it they'll count your vote for example as .08 for Trump, round it up to 1 for Trump.

Then a Clinton voter comes in the machine will register that one vote as 1.2 votes for Clinton, round it down.

The way to correctly monitor these machines is for election monitors to come in on voting day, pick a random machine, take it offline and decompile the source code. Do this all around the country.

Once the code is decompiled we'll know for sure.
