I wish I knew at this point. I've worked for the same company for 21 years. I used to be the Admin. mangager. Hired, fired, payroll, whatever.
But instead of the employees being able to buy the company, as we had been told for those 21 years, they sold us.
The only good thing so far, is they must be planning on keeping us open for a while at least, as they are putting lots of money into us, paint, carpet, new computers, furniture, ect. But I don't have an official position now.

Oh, as for what we do here? If you've ever climbed a fake rock wall, or seen fake antlers, or seen a Chevy SSR bumper, it was probably, (or definitely, in the case of the SSR) made from our polyurethanes. We sell it in liquid form, and the customers mix it together, pour it in a mold, and make parts.

I thought it was a cool idea for a thread to, sometimes I get insulted that people who like to discuss alternative topics are written off as crazy, I'm the kind of person who believes that discussing alternative topics is a way of being creative with your mind, and being creative with your mind and discussing alternate ideas is a way of bringing what seems to be crazy or future tech type of stuff into reality, and it really shows that people from all walks of life can contribute to great ideas

Have done everything once, twice if I forgot how bad it sucked the first time.

Currently am doing temping work in factories till retirement. It's been very cool pitting myself against the jobs physically, as in "do I still have the stuff to hump it all day?" Turns out I do. Right now been working a new assignment an get to show the "kids" easier & safer ways to do different jobs. Very rewarding and I'm stunned I remember as much as I do.

Am a "Dirty Jobs" girl all the way & loving it!

In the past I've been management, been a school cook, done retail, ran a cleaning business, done janitorial in hospitals, been a machine operator, worked in chemical manufacturing, volunteered with severely disabled pre-schoolers, held the hazwhopper certification, delivered meals on wheels, volunteered at a wolf sanctuary, volunteered at a private exotic animal refuge with large cats.

My poor resume gives hiring managers fits!

Ketsuko I would give you multiple flags & stars for being a grammar nazi!!!
You are a hero!!!

I built houses and remodeled homes. I am a residential builder, at least till next year when I will let my license go. It is getting way to expensive to keep it nowadays, they require expensive continuing education. I knew everything last time, but they changed the names of some of the terminology they use for working with heat loss now. I had to decipher what they were saying and look up some words. Leave it to the government to hastle people who worked in the field for thirty years and find a way of raising overhead on a business.

Actually, I have been bestowed the tongue-in-cheek title of Comma Queen at work. It has a certain ring to it that is much nicer than Grammar Nazi.
