A president doesn't get to "choose" whom he or she gets to represent.

A president represents everyone.

The good news is that if anyone fits into this category, they can get a tax deduction next year.

Your analogy is only appropriate if you consider the election to be an example of anarchy and force rule.

I for one do not. I consider an election top be a civilized method of choosing leaders.

Amazing.

So many of you are totally missing the fact that she also said this, at the same time, in the same speech:

"...that other basket of people are people who feel that the government has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures, and they're just desperate for change. It doesn't reven really matter where it comes from. They don't buy everything he says, but he seems to hold out some hope that their lives will be different. They won't wake up and see their jobs disappear, lose a kid to heroin, feel like they're in a dead-end. Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well. "

(Taken from a transcription by Ruby Cramer, Twitter, as reported at The Washington Post)

Have you ever, ever heard Donald Trump ask his followers to empathize with ANY Clinton followers? Of course not.

I know many of you hate the person you believe Hillary Clinton to be. That's fine. Opinions abound.

But if you want to represent what she said ... at least do it fairly.

If not, you're the worst kind of hypocrites the next time you claim that Trump is misunderstood and misrepresented.

Why?

Because she's standing up against racism, sexism, homophobia, religious intolerance and ethnic hatred?

She encouraged her followers to empathize with Trump supporters who are normal hard-working Americans.

List the last time Donald Trump did ANYTHING even close to that.

Her slogan should be - "Stronger Together - except anyone I deem to be unworthy"
Trump has already reached out to millions of Clinton supporters - promising to help them fix the awful mess created in inner cities by the Democrats.

What Clinton said was disgusting - there is no play on words or changing her words as often happens with attacks on Trump. She said it, she owns it. She's already desperately trying to wind it back.

Her constant accusations and smearing, using every social stigma she can think of, are both tiresome and plain wrong and proves she stands for nothing at all only herself. You realise she just smeared millions of women too as racists, sexists, etc. So much for her claimed support of women.

Here is what Trump said in response:

While Hillary said horrible things about my supporters, and while many of her supporters will never vote for me, I still respect them all!

I wonder how long it will be before Hillary's persecution of her 'Deplorables' will start if she gets into office?

Hillary spoke what she and her followers see as the truth.

They don't see Americans. They see demographic pockets to appease or debase.

You can't really blame them for seeing what they perceive as the truth. Anyone who doesn't think like them is to be despised and reviled, either openly or secretly, like using the IRS or other government agencies to inflict harm on them.

They themselves are so biased, myopic and bigoted, that they don't see their flaws as flaws at all.

They see themselves as educated and elite. Somehow above the rest of the riff-raff that populate the country and world.

I hope she feels morally satisfied speaking what she and her followers see as the truth. If they lose the election by a close margin of "deplorable" people, their feeling of moral superiority should get them through,.

Not at all. People insulted by this statement are people who were never going to vote for her to begin with.

Here's an article that has a more complete audio of Hillary's remarks.

She is now a full racist.

Here’s the Full Context of Hillary Clinton’s ‘Basket of Deplorables’ Remark About Trump Supporters

Nothing like blaming 30 or 40 million other people for your own guilt and devastating deeds Hillary !!!

Wait, how is she racist? I don't follow. What particular comment in this recording leads you to believe that?

I find racists, sexists, homophobes, those who are religiously intolerant and hate those of different ethnicities unworthy as well. If you don't that's your issue.

Trump "reached out" to Clinton supporters? LOL Right "what have they got to lose" by voting Trump?

Only their dignity, self-worth, etc.

You feel that what Clinton said was "disgusting" ... well color me surprised. What she said was the verifiable truth, and further what she said was that those Americans who are Trump supporters but who are also hard-working fair-minded people should be empathized with and understood.

She's not trying to "walk it back" she repeated what she said because so many Trump supporters, like yourself, are whining and crying that she called them racists. If you're not a racist (sexist, homophobe, etc.) then she wasn't talking to you, right?

Oh please ... blata blata ... Trump has insulted and smeared and outright lied from Day One; don't be such a blatant hypocrite. She didn't "smear" millions of women who aren't racists. If they're racists, they deserved to be "smeared" as such, regardless of their sex, as do the sexist, homophobic, religious bigots that Clinton was referring to.

"Hillary's persecution of her "Deplorables"? " Wow, you're going off the deep-end of Godwin-ism too?

Absurd.

“Just when Hillary Clinton said she was going to start running a positive campaign, she ripped off her mask and revealed her true contempt for everyday Americans,” Senior Communications Advisor for the Trump campaign Jason Miller said in a statement.

“Tonight’s comments were more than another example of Clinton lying to the country about her emails, jeopardizing our national security, or even calling citizens ‘super-predators’ – this was Clinton, as a defender of Washington’s rigged system – telling the American public that she could care less about them,” he said.

Hillary is really pushing hard on her Rules for Radicals.

She is making it fun to demonize her opponents by calling them names.

Constant barrages of accusations muddy all arguments and debate.

She only has that, nothing solid to run on and her supporters can't see it.

Heh. Right.

Tell that to the folks in New Orleans during and after Hurricane Katrina.

Tell that to the thousands who died from AIDS when it was only a "gay disease."

Heck, tell that to the four kids who died in Ohio on May 4, 1970.
