Hello Sheddisans! (that's "Shed and "artisans" put together BTW...)
I think I'm caught up except for reading
Night's story entries!

That's good to know,
ccbears, I'll try to keep the installments a bit shorter. I have been sort of playing "post blackjack" - seeing how close
I can get to the maximum character-count for a post without going over!

I've seen the avatar creations thread once or twice. That was another
"um, these guys are not only out of your league, they're in a completely
different galaxy, Shep" kind of moment.

Thank you
Martin75! Now that is interesting about karate. I'm curious - what led you to that conclusion? I confess I myself do not train,
but my boys do at a local school here. I know very little about martial arts history or the important personalities. The Grand Master we see the
most is Pat Worley. Gordon Franks is also involved but he has not presided over any of our graduations yet.
For myself, I perform one move - side kick. I have back problems and side kicks are an excellent exercise for strengthening your lower back and small
balance muscles. (where's the Bruce Lee emoji? There's GOT to be a Bruce Lee emoji!)
I do admit the
a'karana drills in the story stem from watching my boys work through the various forms and combinations, but I haven't fleshed
out the specific details of each iteration and drill yet. Best to keep it nebulous unless it becomes pertinent to the plot - that leaves wiggle room,
especially if I screw up somehow!
And for your other post...
Oh my - server admin. Yeah, you get the truly headache issues where the helpdesk has thrown up their hands and said, "I can't figure it out."
I've seen some doozies - we had our entire system go down once. Spent HOURS trying to debug it from a software angle. Finally one of the on-site
support guys went into the server closet and noticed a network cable with one end hanging on the floor. He plugged it back in and
voila
system's back up. Turns out someone tripped over it and boom system down for hours. Ugh.

Yes! The Norwegians know how to do warm. I have a 100% wool Dale sweater I absolutely love - it can get to almost 30-below here at times and that
sweater keeps me nice & toasty.
