Trump looks good against Hillary if you turn off the lights and squint your eyes almost shut.
When you shine a light on things she's head and shoulders above him.

Head and shoulders above him? Then how come she doesn't have a head and shoulder lead over him in national polls.

At best she barely has a lead, despite all his f ups. As a seasoned, establishment politician, I would think she would be winning handily at this point.

Honest answer?

Because the media makes it's money (viewers) on the horse-race. It is always in their interest to have a close race.
That is why the CNN Poll showing Trump +2?
To get there they:
Massively upped their sample of Whites without a college degree - Trumps biggest supporters (half their sample vs. 30% of the population)
Moved to a "Likely Voter" model vs. Registered - Most analysts say it is too early to move to LV reliably
Included a 4 way race (Johnson and Stein)

Realistically Hillary is around +6 right now IMO.

Should she be higher? Sure...She should be at +15, but she has been sitting back and letting Trump be Trump...and has suffered some through steady right wing attacks over the past several years and he is trying hard to look Presidential. Gloves off come the first debate and no more scripts or teleprompters for Trump...she will jump some in the polls after the debates.

Let's see, the Trump-can-do-no-wrong crowd doesn't like your sources; WaPo and RawStory.
Is Reuter's acceptable? From last Friday, September 2nd. One secret of Trump's low-cost campaign: Free labor

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has run an unusually cheap campaign in part by not paying at least 10 top staffers, consultants and advisers, some of whom are no longer with the campaign, according to a review of federal campaign finance filings.

Those who have so far not been paid, the filings show, include recently departed campaign manager Paul Manafort, California state director Tim Clark, communications director Michael Caputo and a pair of senior aides who left the campaign in June to immediately go to work for a Trump Super PAC.

Many of the positions involved might typically come with six-figure annual paychecks in other campaigns.

From Esquire

In June, Michael Caputo, one of the 10 unpaid staffers, told a radio station that he was not a volunteer or working for free even though the campaign had not paid his invoices.

One more source, NY daily news

These aren't low-level volunteers. One is Paul Manafort, his former campaign managaer.

Oh..Honestly...they were kidding...It's trolling on a massive scale at this point...

NO SOURCES are acceptable if it exposes Trump for the criminal idiot he is...

That includes Trump's own mouth in front of camera's...It is dismissed as the "crooked media" for filming or recording his words.

Accept it for what it is...whatever honesty was left amongst the right-wing Trumpites has left the building.

The only light to be found is the number of right-wing conservatives who have bucked their party's BS freight train to go NeverTrump...strangely it has made me start taking a load of right-wing bloggers, commentators and publications more seriously. They exhibit strong character to call out their own base when they nominate a POS.

That's right, I forgot about those darn right wing attacks...'cause, you know.........she's never done anything wrong herself to draw criticism.

Because the number that supports her is so small. in 08 and 12 Obama had a minority vote to exploit. She does not have that.

Uh-huh...and when Trump is convicted in the civil RICO suit against his scam "University"...it will be the "rigged system"!

When he lose the Presidential election...it will be the "rigged election"....

When he embarrasses himself during the debates it will be the "rigged" Moderator and the "rigged" question...

When a black man was elected President...He was part of Rigged Conspiracy and not legitimate and born in Kenya..

REALITY matters..
FACTS matter..
TRUTH matters

.... and....
it appears they use and abuse little children???

add another lawsuit to trump's growing list of lawsuits...

[

and it's a big list!!

this one is file by the father of one of the kids that performed at one of trump's rallies.
allegedly, the trump campaign didn't follow through with the agreement, then agreed to allow them to perform at another campaign, but then once the group traveled across the country to perform, well, they didn't get to perform.

"It's not going to be a billion dollar lawsuit," Popick stressed, calling the impetus for the suit mostly an issue of "morality."
Popick said the disagreement stemmed from two broken promises the Trump campaign made to the USA Freedom Kids. He said the Trump campaign did not honor an agreement to let the group set up a table to sell its CDs at a rally and then canceled a performance without explanation in Des Moines, Iowa, after the group made a "very lengthy odyssey" to do a set at a Trump event.
Popick said this constituted a "breach of contract," but that there was not a written agreement. He did say he believed he had enough evidence to establish and win a suit against the Republican presidential nominee's campaign.

So no contract then... and some kids didn't get to perform.
Hold the front page.

ya, and if he actually gets elected and starts pulling this crap on the defense contractors I won't have any sympathy either.

if he thinks that the hotel shouldn't be paid because their air conditioning couldn't combate the heat produced in an overcrowded ballroom on a hot day, then certainly defense contractors that run years beyond the scheduled delivery date and some times build things with their blueprints upside down should get the same danged treatment!
