It seems there are two secrets to Donald Trump’s success: Inherit a lot of money and don’t pay people who do work for you.

Over the years, Trump has become infamous for stiffing contractors out of money, and this week he was even sued by the USA Freedom Kids singers troupe after his campaign didn’t compensate them for their performances.

The Washington Post has a new report that shines a light on the collapse of a Trump campaign policy shop in Washington, D.C. that died off because — you guessed it — Trump’s campaign didn’t pay the advisers who worked there.

While the story and (somewhat) sensational headline come from Raw Story, I did stop and track down the original Washington Post report.

Inflammatory statements aside, the bottom line is that people were hired and then not paid.

Although they signed non-disclosure agreements, several of them told me on background that the Trump policy effort has been a mess from start to finish.

“It’s a complete disaster,” one disgruntled former adviser told me. “They use and abuse people. The policy office fell apart in August when the promised checks weren’t delivered.”

And how was this done? It was an interesting"bait and switch"...

Three former members, all of whom quit in August, told me that as early as April they were promised financial compensation but were later told that they would have to work as volunteers.

It's not really a surprise to those of us who have followed his history of stiffing contractors and others. But I wonder why his supporters think he'll treat them any better than he has the people he hired.

There doesnt seem to be a winner in the election, and thats scary. I have a hard time finding any good in Trump (hear me out Trump fans) when a Rabbi protested him at AIPAC and lost his (job?) shortly after, his companies had 2,500+ court cases against him, he associated with mob bosses, paid off who he had to, and hired illegals, and is associated with an israeli-russian mobster who has ties to 911, in a tax fraud scheme to the tune of 250M.

Also, worse than all of that, (hard to believe), something that bothers me personally about Trump was his name on the ACN brand, stealing money from kids, in a pyramid scheme using his name, face and image to encourage kids to buy up hundreds dollars licenses to sell #ty products. It made him tons, it made most kids lose money they needed during school year. (some gave up really important stuff for this lie he was pushing)

NOT SAYING HRC IS BETTER = Worse in fact!!!

And this is the scary part. There is no clear winner. TPTB have let both candidates appear as a losing pick. Which means maybe they were never intended to be picked.

Maybe I've just allowed myself to be too open minded...whatever. Its an open analysis. My predictions are 1 of 2. Hillary is "elected", then Trump gets elected on recount. Nothing changes as it was planned from day 1. People think Trump will save them, but alas it was a scheme to get people trusting POTUS again.

2 is they never intended for either to be elected and something will cancel the election before it happens. Hate to say it, as I had been playing around with "Maybe Trumps really a good guy after all" type idea, realizing you need to touch elbows with dirty people to be successful, and enemies of influence can make you appear much worse than you are.

I just don't see it. Trump looks great next to Hillary, but so would the worst leaders in history.

The article is BS his advisors work out of Trump tower. Local offices in cities are always volunteers. Hillary has her local offices rum by volunteers as well including her campaign office in DC. Your lucky If one person is being payed much less 3. I actually did volunteer work for obama I got reimbursement checks but I want payed. No one there was so why do these 3 believe they should have been.

Could be each network are just slinging mud at the opponent, It is becoming a game show. I wish they would concentrate on policies and what each candidate policies are....that should be the topic of the news.

I am massively unsurprised by this story as it's SOP for Trumpster. Do you have any idea how man people are suing him now or have previously sued him for unpaid bills? A lot. Man's a shyster.

Policies? You're asking about policies? Have you been watching the recent appearances of both candidates? It's been something like this:

Hillary: *Detailed explanation of policy*
Interviewer: *Muh EMAILS!*
Hillary: *Sigh* *Explanation*
Interviewer: *Baffled silence. MUH EMAILS!!!!*

And then:
Interviewer: *Softball question*
Trump: *Turns red and blathers nonsense. Grammar flies out the window. Statements contradict previous ones, make no sense or are just total bullcrap*
Interviewer: *Slightly harder softball question*
Trump: *Turns redder, waves arms wildly, is loud and stupid*
Interviewer: *Asks question about puppies*

The veterans Townhall the other day was pitiful. Trump made a fool of himself and Matt Lauer showed that he's a despicable excuse for a journalist.

I suppose the reports by wiki leaks in many of the others that have come out both where they were found out who they came from we're not accurate?

I think people have faith that he'll switch from dishonest businessman to honest President. Their faith includes the expectation that he won't switch from bribing politicians to becoming a politician/President who accepts bribes.

Not our fault CNN and MSNBC were both caught red handed directly working with the Hillary campaign to discredit and spread lies against any Hillary opposition.

Disgruntled former advisers complaining about Trump...Maybe they didn't do their job! Trump seems to be no nonsense and demands results. If you can't deliver then your gone. Isn't that how business and politics SHOULD work?

There are many stories over the years. This is not something new. Contractors going unpaid, people stiffed after completing custom work.
We are finding out more and more with every interview where he's off a script and every person who finally feels safe enough crawls out of the dark to say what a total creep Donald trump truly is.

Difference is, Hillary is getting a free pass for her crimes because of her status. Even if I thought she was a better option than Trump, I'd still have to oppose her, because I refuse to let the elite blatantly have double standards for themselves.

Since the law won't treat her like it does us, I will have to oppose her with my vote.

I'm so sick of the Hillary is a perfect angel bs, she's complete and total scum, same as Trump. Only difference is I have a duty to my country and fighting the further degradation of our rule of law when it comes to Hillary.
