It's the animal kingdon approach to illness and injury. No one appear sick and pay it no mind and none of the other creatures that share the world with you will notice it either.

That's why birds will appear poerfectly healthy until they fall over dead.

It was like Kaine didn't know what to do. Indecisiveness is not a good quality for a Veep. Even on small potatoes stuff like the cough drop. Why didn't he jump up and volunteer to take over the mic until Hillary caught her breath?

Kinda reminds me of when Dr. Ben Carson missed his que at one of the debates, and Trump stopped and lost his turn so they could correct for the Dr, and then he went out. Leadership shows in little things as well as big.
