Diablo 2
Age of Empires 2
Elder Scrolls V Skyrim.

D2 is just as popular if not more than D3 now, and every few months they reset the ladder putting new motivation into the game. A true classic.

AoE2 is still going strong on the steam community with the release of the HD edition, along with 2 new expansions released in the last year for a game that is 17 years old. Never has history been so fun.

Skyrim is just an experience in itself, and with the fan made mods they make a 5 year old game look better than the stuff being released today.

EU4 is great(Europa Universalis 4). A game with a friend(me as Russia from Muscovy and my friend as England) had us both rise to become regional and world powers(2 of the 3 most powerful). My protection(accidental) of Brandenburg allowed it to become the most powerful nation in the HRE. Pretty fun. There's more to it. Empire building bein great. Other grand strategy games, Crusader Kings 2 and Hearts of Iron(3 and 4) are good.

Oh and ARMA 2 campaign!

Red Alert 2 and Yuri's revenge.
Privateer 2 the darkening (I know an elite rip off)
Duke Nukem 3d and Quake (At the time the best and some of the only first person shooters).
Deus Ex (the first one)
Half Life
Morrowind the game that introduced me to the anti social addiction of Role Play game's set in open world's with lot's to explore - very dated now.

Before them.
Boulderdash commodore 64
Uridium
Paradroid
Jet Set Willy
Pacman

Too many to rate.

Looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077

Think Deus Ex by the witcher studios.

Oh ya lots of good ones all up there. Here's a rare not mentioned one I got from Babbages, sweet RPG game (well not sweet looking). Very in depth. Tons of items to find, and you'd mix them together etc to make new items. Tons of questions and everything to ask people a whole database of info and you could ask anybody anything about and of the stuff you already knew.

Best RTS all time (YURI'S REVENGE):

Battlefield 1942: Desert COmbat Mod (modern):
This game was AWESOME capture the flag action. You could land the jets (if skilled) at the flags jump out grab it jump back in and WHOOSH. Exhilarating when you'd have the flag and EVERYBODY coming to GET YOU! EA took over and they took CTF out of the BF2 and ruined it (like they ruined CNC with Generals).

Those last 2 are the last 2 games I ever got into. EA buought both my favorite franchises and promptly ruined them. Shortly after "IIB" was born.

Actualy I like Heroes 1 and 2 better then 3.
I know 3 got more content, but 1 and 2 got warmer and a more cozy feeling

SERIOUS SAM SE

Multiplayer.

Even with a 350ms ping from Australia to Texas, if you got your dancing shoes on, you could bounce off the walls and still lob 10 granades at some dude camping up the top of the ramp.

Hole, best map.

By far my favorite game ever was Delta Force 2 by Novalogic.

It had an open terrain combat system so there were no 'set' paths you had to follow.

This was all I played, in multi player mode, from about 1999 - 2005 or so. Was a great community.

Even had squad mates come to the US from Australia for a DF2 get together.

I still miss that game.

Ooh DF2 - that reminds me of another favourite - Joint Ops. Think it was also done by Novalogic as it featured the same voxel engine I think.

JO was awesome - 128 player battles that were truly epic!
