My sighting took place in late summer of '92 in MA, early afternoon - complete daylight. I was inside my apartment when I realized that I had left
groceries in my car. I went down to get them and this noise just kept getting louder and louder. Like a low hum and a whistle combined. I gathered all
of the bags at once and closed the car door when I noticed the darkness in the sky just over the house across the street. I looked up and saw a black
triangle slowly hovering, moving toward me, so low that it was just clearing the top of the 2 story house. I stood there for what seemed like forever
as it approached. This was about 45-50 feet across. It was matte black. It slowly and slightly teetered from side to side (kind of like watching the
tips of birds wings as they glide) as it moved. There were no visible windows. It flew directly over me. There were no markings on it that I could
see. There was a very large "light" in each corner. Very very bright white with the slightest blue tint. The strange thing is that I could not see a
physical dome or glass (like one would see a looking at headlight in daytime, for example), only the light being emitted-even though as I said, it was
broad daylight. There also seemed to be some kind of "movement" or "swirling" of the lights. Possibly it was not about emitting light and rather some
form of energy or propulsion? The bottom of the craft was wavy like corrugated metal and there was a square panel or section of some kind in the
middle of the bottom. It continued to move over me and over my apartment, again just clearing it and the trees out back. It wasn't until it was past
me that I could move, out of shock or otherwise i'm still not sure. I do remember thinking that I needed to run, yell, get someone else out to see
it-I just couldn't make myself do it until it was no longer over me. I did get two others out in time to see it pass the trees. They were wondering
what took me so long. I can say this. Just like a couple of others here, I felt terrified while it was over me. Thinking back, I feel like the timing
was not a coincidence. I can't explain it but I felt there was some kind of mental connection to it. The air seemed to change underneath it-almost
like the air became "thick" for that moment. There was also a "wave" that you could see around the edges. Like heat off hot pavement. And then it was
gone. I have had other sightings over the years, but never close range, full daylight ones like that. My gut tells me this was not human operated. I
could be wrong. Hopefully some day there will be answers.
