How will you respond when all your friends that used to ridicule you begin chanting about aliens? You know they most likely won't believe until CNN says it is true. Then you'll find those who are a bit pushy acting as if they are far more interested in you and try to tell you all of your old researched data. With the world advancing at exponential rates we're bound to encounter life pretty soon. It's about to become a big thing. All industries all markets all business will soon have to somehow associate themselves with space. "Free shipping to your private space station"

How do you think you'd react? How do you think others will react?

I believe I'd be numb and smiling on the outside seemingly uninterested, somewhat happy for their realization but upset they had seen me as a 'Crazy Conspiracy Coon'

It should be pretty interesting seeing those who were brought up and forced into the belief of one God will now see multiple and understand that they are not Gods but just more advanced beings

If you rant about the time being 03:34 long enough you'll be right.

What you or anyone else believes about who and what these aliens would be are bound to be wrong. There's just too much we don't know.

There's also the possibility that the vast majority of alien races leave nothing behind but ruins of civilization for us to find. If we make it that far. If we don't, it is more likely that an alien race visiting us will find a lot of bones and maybe a few solid ruins to explore.

Curiosity would be my reaction to hearing of confirmed life currently existing on another world. I would want to know about its anatomy, it's method of communication, assuming it had any, it's number of legs, whether it was exoskeletonised like a spider, armoured like a bug, or bipedal or mammillian or fish or avian, or some kind of plankton which would be more likely, as would any simpler life form, like a bacteria or microbe of some kind.

As to the reactions of others... Most of the people I mix with are of the opinion that although they refuse to entertain the idea of UFO aliens having visited the planet, until proper proof is bought forward, they do accept that the universe is a thing of such scale, that for us to be the only living things in it would be extremely improbable. I doubt that it would cause much more than wonderment and excitement amongst my social circle, were any discovery of alien life to be made.

I certainly do not know anyone who would be running around in circles pulling out their hair and messing their shorts. Also, my beliefs about spiritual matters would change, not one iota.

I'd love for humankind to finally have proof of extraterrestrial life. I think it would put a lot of things into perspective & would hopefully spark a renaissance in technological and creative thinking. But knowing how people are, there would also be immense fearmongering and attempts at isolationism, particularly from the people who are scared of their own shadows. I mean, some people fearmonger about other humans because of their skin color or country of origin. So why should I believe they'd be able to mentally handle 25ft long floating squid-like beings that "talk" through holograms & wield advanced technology?

So I'd prefer we get our crap in order before the discovery or declassification of this info is made. And maybe set up colonies & habitable space stations throughout the solar system beforehand, too. The experience & technology we'd gain by adapting to other planets would be invaluable when dealing with non-Earth lifeforms, their customs, and ways to defend against them, if necessary.

And one more thing: aliens and God can still exist at the same time. In fact, the 2nd line of the very first Surah in the Qur'an even refers to God as the Lord of the Worlds. So this scenario would be fine under Islam.

Sahih International translation
1. In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
2. [All] praise is [due] to Allah , Lord of the worlds -

Muhsin Khan translation
1. In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
2. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Pickthall translation
1. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
2. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,

Yusuf Ali translation
1. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
2. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;

Shakir translation
1. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
2. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

Dr. Ghali translation
1. In The Name of Allah, The All-Merciful, The Ever-Merciful.
2. Praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds.

How will you respond when all your friends that used to ridicule you begin chanting about Jesus, the reality of Him, that aliens were all along just demons in disguise to fool the masses

Be really sad, crazy christian nutters who were condemned for trying to tell people the good news about salvation, peace, hope, joy in understanding sins are forgiven, there is rest and peace in Jesus name

Be interesting to see the faces of those who said no to God, be sad, real sad..,

Uhh you sure about that? I've seen reactions like that when people see certain spiders, roaches, and moths. And it hasn't only been females reacting like that.

If you investigate the full body of evidence that exists, (from now until 50,000 years ago), and I do mean investigate it fully, it's impossible for someone to walk away from it thinking aliens haven't visited us. And that's what the OP is pointing out I think. Some people recognized this a long time ago.

It's no different than the New World, Christopher Columbus was not named that. He never signed his name by that. He signed it in code, and if you want to know the true country he comes from (many speculations) you can find it in 2 papal Bulls written a few years after his first trip. They new the "New World" existed long before going there, they just needed a reason to discover it. No different than aliens today.

So the problem with that is that the Churches literally used to rule by the 'word of god' and they controlled that world. Literally translations of the bible says nothing about any divine beings (although I think there reference to something beyond them), what we call gods, were scientists. And the oldest Masoretic Bible which is accepted by all 3 Abrahamic religions is written in a very basic, to the point, the 'gods' (not a single god) came and taught man how to live.

When you read the translations everything makes sense. You haven't put your faith in god, you put it in men, who spoke on gods behalf. You think they got it right? They purposely altered the words...

Of course they can. By very definition of the word, God is an alien, (extra terrestrial)

Furthermore, I've heard many a muttering that some aliens may actually be inter dimensional beings.

What a perfect way to explain God - a being in an alternate universe, that for all we know is bigger than this one and he actually created our one as the Bible says.

After all, I've heard it said that CERN could very well create a micro universe.

Unlikely that we will see aliens visiting us in our lifetime in my opinion.

The universe I just too big. An alien signal on the other hand I'm hoping to witness before I die.

and some atheist regimes literally ruled with guns and big walls and food

You dont believe I get it, read the op, its another assumption he is right and I am wrong

So what if I am wrong, I have lost nothing, Gods, the Trinity.
Anyway, your words carry no weight in my opinion

Go read a book

every habitable planet in the cosmos will have been visited and watched over by Gods/Aliens. Alien Races if they exist (and i believe they do) would be able to check every planet for radio signals or heat signatures long before their inhabitants started to become civilised. if we are not alone, we would be young species in the grand scheme of thing....

I will be decidedly "Meh"

However knowing myself I will be quite the sarcastic puss when it comes to others. If I could I'd be standing there to give them all a cuff upside the head and a sound lecture about being the Darwin Award winners they are.
There are no consolation prizes for being dim.
Ever.
