The whole election thing has been rigged at least from when HW didn't play ball with Iraq 1 and didn't go all in with the invasion. Hence his losing his second term. Quite probably way before that. Than again maybe Trump really has them worried and "They" want to make sure it's a slam dunk.

I believe that this only underlines the Trump mantra "It's rigged."

The USA's Department of Homeland Security (Heimatsekurität) will do as they are instructed to do by the puppeteers who hide in the darkness.

And the 2016 election just got that much scarier.

What people misses is that Trump is in it, and people who support Trump who wants foreign influence on US election is even more worrying. I started believing he is an 'outsider' and getting his orders from an outside source.

It also takes a back seat to this news in terms of importance.

I cannot believe, for the life of me, how we came this far since 9/11. How have we done this to ourselves? We're we really that scared? I refuse to believe some shadow families are running the whole show. They must have problems with pooping and sleepless nights just like you or I.

Trump didn't encourage Russia to hack Clinton server.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,”

That is what Trump said, no where did he encourage Russia to hack Clinton email server. He asked Russia to try and find the emails online. We already know someone already hacked her unsecured email server.


We can secure slot machines to keep casinos from rigging them, why can't we do the same with our voting machines. Only way to prevent our elections from being rigged, is by having independent auditors, selected by every party that has at least 500k register voters.

We need a paper trail that any party can verify the results. Without that people will always wonder if it was rigged or not.

By the way, that fallacy of yours is called the No true Scotsman fallacy.

Lets get back to reality a bit shall we? If DHS were to designated election computer systems as critical infrastructure what does that mean? Not much really. They do not run or monitor the election. Private companies have been declared as critical infrastructure. Does that mean DHS takes them over or monitors them? No.

So what does it do? It provides information, response plans, expert advice, and the can get access to a special program that monitors systems for hackers. This is all of course voluntary and frankly many companies that have this designation say that they no meaningful help from DHS.

More than anything this is a PR move to make people not worry about foreign nation messing with the election. The FBI and the Elections Assistance Commission (created to help avoid another Florida mess) have the responsibility to aiding the states. DHS would just be adding itself to the list.

I should ad that Sony was given this designation after the NK hacks. So they can now US DHS anti hackers programs. Just so people are aware of how it works.

Still, I have to say that this whole thing sounds a little bit dubious, not what you speak of.. just, this whole situation on the face of it. I really doubt they're going for martial law because of this though.

This news is insane!!! this is like treason.. history in the making. This news needs to be bumped to the top of ATS. We're talking about the UN and the EU over seeing the elections. Taking over critical infrastructure, is basically martial law. Give them an inch and they take everything! this news is so insane man. We cannot just brush this aside like it is nothing. Gives me chills...

Yeah...I assume you realize that was a joke? If not, check out the video. It didn't seem like a very real plea or offer to Russia. Or...you did realize it was a joke and just decided to lie about it to maliciously imply someone did something wrong. I understand that haters tend to do such things.
